The streets of Pakistan's largest city, Karachi, were cleaned in a special way in April.

At least 20 workers equipped with modern machines and chemicals were ordered to fumigate parts of Karachi.

Areas with a large population were first on the list.

The work was done to help contain the spread of the new Corona virus.

To fumigate is to remove and destroy germs, insects or, in this example, viruses.

Smoke gas.

Pour chemicals are used to fumigate buildings, rooms or other area.
