So like the name suggests, We have to read a haiku while playing Bach. That's it! And one person plays Bach, the other person has to tell when to read the haiku. And the goal is to try and read through the haiku without messing up your Bach... The Bach. The Bach we both chose is the E major Preludio because we both kind of know that one. Kinda, yeah. For those of you don't know what a haiku is, it's like a poem from ancient Japanese traditions with three lines. The first line is 5 syllables. The second is 7 syllables, and the third is 5 syllables. Don't ask me why. I don't know. So we have two haikus. One from a famous haiku poet called Kachikawawa. And it says... The one we improvised on is a new one 2018 Here we go. Cheer up. Scissors-paper-rock who goes first. Scissors, paper, rock! - You're going first. - Alright. An old silent pond.
