He's currently sell on Amazon for $300.

That's about five times the cost of comparable non biometric Safe's and three times more than comparable fingerprints saves.

So my first question when I looked at this was whether the price was justified.

Well, it does have some very nice features.

This is probably the nicest fingerprint sensor and a comparable safe.

We have a backlit display, which makes set up an operation very easy.

But I think the most impressive feature is the alert system, which lets the authorized users know if there's been tampering.

So why can certainly open this?

What I have not been able to do is open it without the electron ICS knowing I was there.

How do I do that?

Well, the keyhole to the mechanical override is behind this panel.

It's a cross lock.

These are the keys, but unfortunately it is a very poorly made cross lock, and it's susceptible to a technique called jiggling.

These are my cross locked Ziglar's, their key shaped lock picks that are a little bit spring loaded.

They operate exactly as you would expect, just put them in the keyhole, jiggle them around while turning.

And unfortunately, on a lot of locks, that's all it takes.

So let me show you how it's done.

The first thing we need to do is remove two of these screws.

Okay, Now I'm going to use thes jugglers, and I want you to be alert for two things.

When I turn the key, you'll see the safe open.

But you will also see an alert register on this panel, and this safe will keep beeping until someone with the registered fingerprint comes by and sees that this was opened with a key.

So as you saw, we got into this very quickly, using a very low skill attack.

That said, the safe will alert the owner of the compromise.

However, that's a little bit like closing the barn door after the horse is gone.
