Whats up attackers! It's Bethany here on this Wednesday, April 9th coming to you with your
daily MMO news from MMOAttack.com. Today we have a little bit of nostalgia with Super
Smash Brothers, fans of the mega popular game The Left Behind can finally get their hands
on the remastered version, or at least their money on it, and remember Argo Online? It's
back! Your daily XP starts now.
So almost exactly a year ago, we saw Alaplaya's Argo Online close its doors despite the thousands
of pleading fans who wanted the game to stay open. An MMO publisher specializing in European
and Asian releases called Game-Masters has taken Argo Online under their wing, giving
these fans their long awaited chance to get back in game. Beta testing under the new publishers
is set to begin April 10th, and early testers will be able to get their hands on a unique
title and minipet. The game will still have its original steampunk vibe, as well as its
robust class system and huge variety of pets. Some wonder though if the dated mechanics
and graphics will be able to survive the test of time.
Exciting news for those of us kids who grew up playing Super smash Bros, and all the others
who dig the game. Nintendo has announced that Smash Bros. for 3DS will release this summer,
followed by the Wii U version in winter 2014. Series creator Masahiro Sakurai unveiled the
release window during a special Nintendo Direct presentation. Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS
are both developed in collaboration with Bandai Namco Games. Nintendo also confirmed that
fighters in the 3DS version would move at 60 fps, and that the game will support stereoscopic
3D. Pretty cool.
IGN's 2013 Game of the Year winner The Last of Us now has it's remastered version for
PS4 available for pre-order on amazon. The game costs $60 and brings with it the Abandoned
Territories Map Pack, Reclaimed Territories Map Pack, as well as the critically acclaimed
The Last of Us: Left Behind Single Player campaign that combines themes of survival,
loyalty, and love with tense, survival-action gameplay. A banner advertisement on the Sony
Entertainment Network online store has revealed the remastered edition's existence, and it's
suspected that the news has come a little earlier than it was supposed to as the banner
currently links to a "page not found" error. Whoops.
