  • what is going on, guys that they were taking a look here at the Master grade.

  • Schaars Custom.

  • Rick Dumb.

  • This is an old master grade hailing all the way back from 2003 and it's actually pretty much mostly the same kid is just the regular original Dom, which actually came out to in 1999.

  • So that makes this now a 20 year old master grade.

  • I've already done my review of the regular Dom, so I'm not gonna go over the articulation in this video because it's pretty much exactly the same.

  • There are a couple of parts that are different, basically just the bottom of the feet and the back skirt, and those don't affect the articulation anyway.

  • So that's not any difference.

  • If you're wondering what the articulation of the kid feel free to refer back to that review if you haven't seen that, and just not too long ago we took a look at the people and I'm a master grade Waj, and that was basically 1.5 version of this.

  • You've seen that review.

  • You've seen how much better that is going to be in this particular case, so this particular kids.

  • I think like with the original Dom, it still holds up pretty well.

  • Definitely could use a two point.

  • Oh, it would be nice, but I think this despite being a 20 year old kiss, it still does pretty good, I think for what it is.

  • So it's got some cool details in some certain areas.

  • I mean an overall.

  • Still, just the overall look and proportions of it still look pretty good.

  • So not about master Great if you could get it at a good price.

  • Still, and there's some cool things included in the box, different from what you get with the regular dump.

  • So it's kind of interesting.

  • Toss up whether you want to go for whichever particular version, depending on which weapon or you want a supposed.

  • So let's get into it and we'll start off just by going through what you get included here with shards.

  • Rick Dumb.

  • First off, we do have some marking stickers here.

  • I threw some of them on most of the like the big ones that can see they still have a few different caution markings, things like that still left on there.

  • But through a few on just so you guys can get idea.

  • As you can see, they're not really going to look that good against the dark plastic.

  • The ones on the lighter plastic on the pink plastic don't look too bad.

  • You can't see the outline all that much.

  • But you on the dark plastic Not really gonna be looking all that great, but fortunately, we do also have this really nice set of dry transfer decals as well.

  • So putting these on is, you know, simple enough.

  • If you know how to put on dry transferred Picasso, you could stick those on right under the bear plastic or once it's painted whatever works best for you.

  • Whatever your plan is for this, I don't put them on yet, but always nice that those are included as well would prefer waterslides.

  • But anyway, we have our one hard scales standing pellet figure here of Shar as well as the seeded pilot figure of shark in the cockpit There, of course, we also have this 1 20 scale version here.

  • This part here up for his helmet is a separate peace.

  • I need to glue on their have included on there yet as well as this little piece that goes over here, like off the side of a script.

  • It's pretty nicely detailed.

  • It's in this kind of softer plastic, though, so it's not the easiest thing to work with.

  • But it is still cool that's included.

  • I like that about the older master grades, and this does share one same weapon with the regular original.

  • Dominant is the heat rod here.

  • We got that handle there in the dark gray plastic and then the heat rod part in this really bright yellow, which looks really good.

  • Then you have this connector piece here that does open up like that for collapse.

  • Clamping onto he rot and this just plugs into is back straight onto the backpack there, like so it does also share the giant bazooka here.

  • It was the same as the regular dumb as well, so the main handle doesn't move forward and back it all, so that makes it a little bit hard to pose up over the Army.

  • Kind of to work without a little bit secondary handle does move up and down there, just like that.

  • This main camera doesn't move at all, and you have this pretty horrid sticker there for the camera lens for that.

  • Otherwise, this other little bit here, the front doesn't move.

  • This whole front section can rotate, but doesn't really do anything in early for anything.

  • Otherwise, it's just pretty simple.

  • It does have a seam line all the way down the middle of that.

  • But I mean, it is a weapon from a 1918 a master grade.

  • So nuts, too surprising about that seam line price.

  • Then what's new and unique to this particular kid?

  • Here we have this version of just kind of doctor machine gun.

  • Ah, a little bit different, though, of course.

  • So this one doesn't have any clear part.

  • Anything for the lens there.

  • That part doesn't move.

  • The front handle does move.

  • So I decide, though, for that this could just be handheld, and it's pretty nice.

  • This one does also have seen mine down like the main part of the body here.

  • But they're cool thing about this is that you have a couple different options, so you have this bulkier handle parts.

  • You can swap that out, but is pulling that part off, plugging the different one onto their If you prefer, the more bulk your look to that which I think is more suited here to do the Rick dump.

  • You have another option part here, which is a grenade launcher attachment for this.

  • So you need to remove the end of the barrel there, Take this part off, clip the up onto the underside and you have to have the handle off to the side here for this.

  • Put this part.

  • Appear onto the front of their stick.

  • The end of the barrel back on there and there you go.

  • There you have it.

  • With their grenade attachment attached onto the bottom of that.

  • That's very cool.

  • Much more both doubt and which were fitting looking, I think machine gun here for the Rick Done.

  • But we do have one more weapon as well.

  • And it is the giant beam bazooka here now in the boxing.

  • I was having trouble remembering if this is the exact same be musical that you get with the masquerade psychos aku over coffee, I'm gonna thunderbolt.

  • While the weapon is technically the same weapon, the mold of the weapon, actual parts are totally different.

  • So the one with the psycho's aku is a completely new mold which is very much better than this one.

  • This one that is the actual physical design of it is not that different for the new one is a little bit more detailed, a little bit nicer, but the design is pretty much mostly the same.

  • This one does, of course, still have a lot more sea mines on us.

  • So huge seam lines on this one as well.

  • This is gonna be I mean, the weapon itself is very large, soaking all the seam lines going all the way through all of this.

  • So that's gonna be quite the chore to get rid of all that this one.

  • Also, the handle doesn't move at all for this one either.

  • So holding this in the hand also could give you some trouble of over the shoulder.

  • But I think maybe not quite as much because you have plenty of space here to get that up over the shoulder, where the problem with the other large bazooka here is that this part was gonna get in the way, so that could be trouble.

  • But this one, I don't think it's gonna be too bad for the main camera lens here or you don't have any clear part or anything for that.

  • What you get is this little part here.

  • This kind of jewels sticker is you're supposed to stick on there, stuck it on there yet obviously, I'll wait till it's actually painted everything, but otherwise it's a pretty cool weapons.

  • So let's try out some posing now with one thing that this doesn't come with is any sort of action based adapter.

  • So you'll just have to use some sort of action based actor like this one, which will plug up underneath the legs there.

  • If you want to get us in any sort of aerial pose real quick, I just want to give you a little comparison here next to the original match grade.

  • Dom kid, obviously, as you can tell, uh, from the front, there's not really any difference at all that you can see.

  • It's just the color is gonna be the main thing.

  • But if we go around here onto the back, can see that here on the back skirt.

  • There is a very slight, very small difference in that.

  • On this back skirt is a little bit different shape.

  • It's got a little bit lower, a little bit point here down there than the original dumb, and it also has these little tiny little bits there.

  • I think we're just supposed to be extra couple little Vern years or something there on the back.

  • And also you can see that the backpack is also slightly different on this.

  • And so with the Rick Dom here, you a little bit larger backpack, little bit larger thruster bells on there because it's the space type, whereas with the original Dom in just a little bit more low profile, as it's just supposed to be for land combat basically so kind of simpler looking back back there for that so little difference there.

  • And the difference is going to be up here underneath the feet so I can see the land's type.

  • Just has the feet, which are meant for hovering space.

  • Type has the feet that are meant for flying through space, obviously, So a little bit different.

  • Look, they're up underneath a fee.

  • All right, so all things considered, let's just take a look back then at the pros and cons.

  • So the cons.

  • The articulation is limited, I will admit so.

  • There are certain areas where the articulation is not very good.

  • Overall, I would say it's just kind of decent.

  • I mean, the Dom, just by design is very bulky.

  • And so he's got, like, the huge legs, everything.

  • So you're not going to expect some amazing articulation out of it again.

  • If it was a 2.0, that was coming out, you know, recently or this year or next years and like that, obviously, we would expect probably some better articulation band.

  • I would find a way to kind of get around some of those larger proportions of this kid to make it really super nice to articulate it.

  • But as it is, I think the articulation is not bad at all.

  • As for the details, it does have some pretty cool details up underneath in some different areas, like under underneath the legs and underneath the skirting armor.

  • There's some cool details, little thrusters and everything up in there but outer surface detail it is liking.

  • There's not a lot of service detail there, but that's just I mean, an aesthetic thing.

  • Personally, I don't mind it just for the Dom, just by its design.

  • I don't mind it being a little bit less detailed.

  • I think that just is kind of suited for the design.

  • But if you wanted to go in and add more detail that there's plenty of space to go and do that on, then asked for a seam lines.

  • It's got a fair amount of those as we saw.

  • The weapons have a lot of steam lines there on the main mobile suit itself, there's steam lines on the top of the shoulders, the top part of the arm on the back of the leg.

  • There's a seam line there.

  • I don't know.

  • You could very easily just turned that into a panel line, though not really too big a thing in there with that one.

  • So I mean, considering that secure from 1999 the steam lines are you know, not really all that bad.

  • Things could have been worse, but and so obviously it does have some considerable concert.

  • What about the pros?

  • I think that again, the articulation is not that bad.

  • It has, uh, pretty nicely articulated fingers again, considering the age of the kid, they're mostly articulated fingers.

  • They have just they're just missing the one joint there at the end of the fingertips.

  • So that's the only thing really keeping them from being like a fully articulated fingers that we have on some of the newer master grades.

  • And that these days and again, I think just the exterior aesthetic and the proportions of the kid's still look really nice.

  • It's a really good looking dumb, and on top of that, you have a nice assortment of weapons now, just in terms of what's different about the weapons from this kid in the regular Dom's cell again, if you're gonna be painting, it doesn't really particularly matter which version of the kids you buy.

  • The actual physical differences between the kid are various small, just the Baxter of Backpackers.

  • A slightly different underneath the feet is just slightly different.

  • So basically, the main thing is just going to be again the weapons.

  • If you're painting, you can change the color to wherever you like.

  • So as with weapons we saw with this kid and has the Zaca machine gun, the giant being bazooka, the large bazooka and then the heat right, while the other kids to the regular version does also have the heat round.

  • It has also have the giant bazooka.

  • But instead of the giant beam, Bazooka has the Rocket America, and then instead of the Zaca machine gun, it just has a regular grounds type dumb machine gun.

  • And then it also has the addition of the Sturm boss with it as well.

  • So actually does have a little bit mawr in terms of accessories included with the regular dominant and obviously, for the pilot figures, the original version comes with Ortega.

  • This one comes with sharks.

  • If you wanted one particular 1 20 scale pilot figure than could get whichever version of that you want so frozen constant both verses of the kid, I think both of them are worth owning if you I can get them at a good price, I said they're old and don't really expect Bandai to make a two point no or any 1.5 version of this, even though they have some of that 1.5 version technology they're using for the watch and the Dodge Chi.

  • I'll just say, if you do want a 100 scale match grade dumped, then just don't be too put off by the age of this kid.

  • If you could get at a good price and go ahead and pick it up.

  • I think you're gonna enjoy get whichever version of it you want the weapons set for more.

  • So I would say, uh and so that's pretty much it for the review guys, Thanks so much for watching.

  • Hopefully it was informative, and I hope you guys have all enjoyed it.

  • Shar month.

  • It was great to just focus on as much our stuff as we could for this month, and hopefully you guys all took the time to show some appreciate its appreciation as well, doing some sharp bills or something on your own as well.
