And what I have for you today is a Toast Mart brand trailer coupler lock that I purchased at my local Home Depot store and folks its products like this that really upset me.

These are explicitly designed to protect expensive items that are actively targeted by thieves.

It might be a boat trailer, a camper or a box trailer full of tools.

But whatever it is, this lock is inadequate.

The packaging says it offers high security for your trailer, but the truth is, the way for core inside can be opened using a novice level raking attack.

So let me show you just how easy it is.

We're going to use bottom of the key way tension with this wiper insert and a wave rake.

Just that quickly, we got it open.

Let's do it one more time.

So you know, that was not a fluke.

And it is open again.

So as you can see, this has no place securing anything and certainly no place on an expensive trailer.
