First Narrow Montalbano This week I interviewed a nurse who traveled a long way to help fight the Corona virus.

Her name is Briana Alvarez, and she's American.

Last year, she and her husband decided that they wanted to pick up and move to Japan.

Briana worked as a nurse in Atlanta, and she kind of put her career on pause so that she and her husband can go and live out this dream that they had.

They were loving life and totally happy with their decision.

But then the Corona virus hit, so she and her husband made the tough decision to move back to the states.

I don't want to say it was a hard decision because we knew it was the right thing to do.

But it was a sad decision to make, and now she's back to nursing at Children's Health Care of Atlanta.

Knowing that we're doing our best to make a difference helps a little bit.

She's just one of many health care workers that have really stepped up during this Louisville pandemic.

We caught up with one couple in New York City, Eric and Valentine Cary, who are throwing a socially distant block party on their rooftop every day at 6 p.m. Trying to get some of your neighbors here in York City help have a nice moment of peace and music and community and enjoyment weekly music.

They sing songs, and they just join in a little show of solidarity with their neighbors.

People are also using this moment to applaud first responders and just show their neighbors that even though we can't be together physically, we can be together socially.
