It's a box.

Hold on Amazon for about $15 you'll usually see these locked around door knobs or fences.

They are, of course, intended to secure a key inside, so they should be as or more resistant to manipulation than the locks to which they provide access.

Unfortunately, as is the case with many of these boxes, it only takes slightly longer to open it without the code than it does to open it with the code.

Let me show you just how bad it is.

The first thing we're going to do is change the combination, so it's not something I already know.

So I just put it in change mode, and I am now scrambling those wheels.

Okay, let's take it out of change mode, close it up and scramble the wheels one more time.

So I now have a box to which I do not know the code.

I'm going to use the method I detail in video number 9 69 So if you want to know why this works, I'll leave a link to that video in the description below.

But I'm putting intention on a small, fork shaped piece of metal in the back of the mechanism.

And then I'm just turning the wheel until I find a loose spot in the travel.

Okay, I believe our code is 3926 Let's do that one more time.

That was way too fast.

Put it on change mode.

Scramble those wheels again.

Take it off.

Change mode, lock it up and scramble the wheels one last time.

Now I'm going to tension that small, fork shaped piece of metal in the back of the mechanism and find the loose spot in the travel of each wheel.

Okay, This time the code is 5148 So, as you can see, this box can be defeated quickly with a fairly low scale attack.

And as such, it probably should not be relied upon to protect important keys.
