First, I'm celebrating the receipt of my gold play button from YouTube, recognizing this channel has surpassed one million subscribers.

And that's positively surreal to me the idea that over one million people saw something that I created and said, Yeah, I want to see a little more of that.

The second special occasion is the fact that this is the 1000 video that I'm posting to this channel.

That's 1000 times I've shared a little piece of my life with you, and 1000 times I've provided a little piece of information that I hope you can use to make yourselves and family safer.

Finally, the third occasion is that here in the United States, we just celebrated Thanksgiving yesterday, and one tradition associated with that holiday is to share things for which we're thankful.

So in that spirit, I saw only one appropriate way to mark these occasions, and that was to tell all of you how thankful I am for your support.

The success of this channel has changed my life for the better in so many ways, and this simply would not have been possible without the legion of people who contributed to this success.

All of my viewers, subscribers, commenters, contributors, all of you who gave me ideas or inspiration for videos and everyone who helped spread the word by sharing this channel with their friends.

My deepest thanks to each and every one of you.

I also wanted to share with you my hopes for the next 1000 videos.

We're certainly going to have some fun along the way.

But my greatest wish is for these videos to reach and educate Maur and more consumers until we get to the point where lock makers are forced to improve their products and we're all better off.
