Jim Marais was covering the Corona virus crisis when suddenly he started feeling really fatigued.

The symptoms were troubling, and he couldn't help but wonder if he had contracted the virus for nearly two weeks.

He'd been in self quarantine along with his wife, Carrie.

Both of them have similar symptoms.

We have low fever, cough, headache, aches.

They tried to stay apart.

His wife camped out in the family room.

This has been my command center, my bedroom.

It took eight days before the results came back, and Jim says it was a tense time waiting.

It was a very frightening eight days of waiting.

Finally, the results came in negative for the Corona virus.

I had a bacterial infection and to viral infections.

I'm clearly on the other side of this and getting better.

I'm very grateful that I don't have the Corona virus.

Jim is on the mend now, feeling much better and ready to get back to work and just thankful it wasn't cove it 19.
