So many people are turning to videoconferencing for things like work education.

So socializing and Maur joining us now to talk us through The impact of this increased traffic is zooms.

Thanks for talking with us this afternoon.

I know you've been very busy for people who've been living under a rock and are familiar with Zoom at this point.

Explain what it is and how it differs from other video conferencing platforms.

Of course, Thank you so much for having me.

Amy presumes a video platform that's allowing us to really stay connected to our colleagues, our family, our friends on multiple devices from your desktop mobile phones, tablets, allowing businesses to continue to function on really in a productive way.

And, frankly, students across the globe continuing their education during these difficult times.

Yeah, my own Children are zooming their classrooms right now, and I know you've seen so much change since this pandemic, So you're currently the number one free app in Apple's APP store.

How are you handling all of this?

Increased traffic?

Yeah, really.

I mean, it's important.

No, Zoom was built for scale.

So with the current health crisis were ensuring that we're balancing traffic across all time zones that we're adding capacity were needed.

And also, we have a world class engineering team.

And when you think about security features such as passwords that we enabled by Defoe on, we really encourage hope to be using those as well as fun Security features such a virtual waiting rooms that you can control when people actually, uh, enjoy your meeting.

Yeah, I mean, short term, obviously we're seeing the huge benefit of this, But what do you believe the long term impact will be?

What will this pandemic have had on telecommuting as a whole?

You know, it's like what we do know is the world is not gonna be the same as it waas a couple of months ago and where that actually levels out, none of us really know.

But things like working remotely telemedicine, using video to communicate, whether it is with your, uh, your colleagues or something in your family, that's not gonna go away.

So I think the point is that it's really gonna beat up the adoption of these kinds of technologies, and I should mention.

I mean, obviously, this is used for business and for classrooms, but there are some fun features I forced playing around with some of the virtual backgrounds.

You can feel like you're on vacation when you're not.

This'd something parents and kids could appreciate together at home.

Correct?

Absolutely.

So those touch up my appearance, right?

So many of you.

They're used to having, you know, a full blown crew are at home.

You know, little things like that go a long way.

They certainly do.
