It's been an emotional roller coaster.

The past couple of days were about 2.5 years old and because our tap room is not opening into a leader this year, wear solely dependent on distribution.

But 90% of our clientele is restaurants and bars throughout New York City, New Jersey, were unable to sell to them.

Given the current circumstances, I went to work.

I like everybody's kind of worried What's going on?

Are they gonna shut down the airport or what's gonna happen?

I'm gonna get laid off and I fight.

PM I received a text message from a manager saying that the restaurant will be closed on Father coming into work tomorrow.

I have been uniquely affected by this shutdown, as has the theater community, because our job relies on people gathering in large places in large groups to experience art.

So our industry has been really rocked by this are sarin employees.

60 plus employees were not able to spice on delivery alone, and having my staff coming commute an hour on the metro around various walks of life, I don't feel is the most responsible thing to do is an operator.

So way had to make the tough decision to close our doors.

You know, three years of hard work cease overnight.

I got word of my lay off on Monday, March 16 11 o'clock at night after my shift, upper management called for an emergency meeting where they explained to us that as of that moment, me and along with about 30 of my co workers, were officially laid off indefinitely.

We're sitting on a tremendous amount of inventory, and we're just in a very, very difficult, scary place.

Three existing legislation that came through regarding a stimulus package.

You know, while every nickel counts in this climate, the other day is not really gonna move the dial on a personal basis.

But more importantly, on a business basis for myself in my business partners, this tough times this is really scary.

I'm trying not, depending, but I really need answers from my company.

I really want to know that they got my back.

I've been in the company for eight years, almost the time that they started at l.

A X.

We have a little bit of a deal with the producers that our union has worked out for us.

Those of us working on Broadway and other people around the country are worked out different deals through the union.

But we are going to be without pay once that deal expires.

And right now, that deal does not last much longer than a few weeks.

So the actor community, especially in New York, the Broadway community is in a very tough bind.

With all of this, we're holding our breath and wondering when we will have a more concrete date of being able to reopen and again what that date will mean for the general public or deciding whether or not to spend money to go see a Broadway show.

So I live with my fiance and my two dogs and this letter that completely changes our way of living.

You know, it's hard enough to get by on two incomes announced to not be able to rely on my share is completely unsettling.

You know, you start to ask yourselves, are going to be able to afford to buy food.

Are we gonna be able to pay rent at the end of the month?

We're gonna be a four car payments are insurance.

Uh, it's scary, but the local community has been very supportive.

And our thoughts are with old, other small businesses in Hoboken and throughout the country.

Um, you know, we're all in this together and together we'll get through it.

So instead of wasting time and waiting on for the company to decide whether or not they're gonna keep me or let me off, I decided, like, I'm not going to stay negative.

Start thinking negative.

Gotta think positive.

You gotta get on your feet.

You got to get up and start doing stuff, right?

So I got a hit.

I was like, Waste any time I started going.

Now it's setting in that this is gonna be a longer time.

And I think that, uh any way that we can channel creativity anyway that we can freelance.

The actor community is work work thing.

Actor community is used to instability.

So I won't be surprised when people creates a pretty cool art during this time.

Have a plan of action to care of your employees.

So when you're faced with the hard decision to lay off, employees won't leave with fear or uncertainty, but instead they will leave with understanding, trust and hope for their future and yours.

And that is the least that we can D'oh Probably going to come back from this as people a little bit more independent.

You're gonna learn how to cook for yourself a little bit.

Maybe do your own hair, your own nails, law, injury, you know, things that you pay people for and hopefully come out more compassionate for each other.

Because this isn't affecting just the restaurant industry.

This is affecting everyone.

Way are I am trying to save restaurants, but at the end of the day, we need to take care of each other way.

Need to walk in peace and unity because we're more similar than we are different.
