It's not quite apartment-tour ready but I did clean up a little bit

So I can show you guys around a little bit today

I wanted to say sorry for the lack of videos this month

I actually decided to take a little break and go to Korea to visit the cats

They both look really healthy and happy so that made me feel super relieved

I just got back to Japan

I haven't even unpacked my suitcase; it's over there

I usually take about a week to do it lol

Everytime it's like my least favorite thing to do

BUT, I had some packages in the mail

And one of them is something very exciting

You might have some idea of what this gigantic box is

But we will open this together later on today

And I also got some new glasses!

Which I'm also very stoked about because

When I moved from Korea

I couldn't bring my glasses collection with me

Because I couldn't find a way to pack them lol

So I've only had one pair of glasses for the past few months

And I'm getting tired of wearing the same ones

So I'm stoked to try these on

So I got two pairs of glasses and I got two pairs of sunglasses

So they do have this really cool tool on their website

Where you can upload a picture of your face

And try on the glasses virtually on the website before you order them

But because I've ordered from them so many times

I have an idea of the kind of glasses that I like for my face

So i got a round pair because I'm still loving these round glasses that you see

Lots of people in Asia wearing

They're really casual so they look nice with just like a hoodie or a t-shirt

Probably wouldn't wear them with a suit in like a professional setting

But for everyday wear

I love these light, round glasses and they're so comfortable

Because the frame is just so thin

These are actually a smaller frame than I would usually get

I kind of like the big, like chunky, nerdy glasses

But I thought I would try a smaller pair this time

And I'm really happy with them!

Next is the sunglasses

I'm gonna save the fancy pair for last

I actually got a pair of Prada sunglasses

It just started warming up here in Morioka

The sakura are blooming

I need to take you outside before the weather goes to shit

Because I have been dying to open that

I'm so happy the weather is nice now so I could take you guys outside

I really am excited to show you this town

But I'm actually excited to explore it myself

Because even though I've lived here for...

Three years! Before

I lived in Morioka for three years

I didn't get to see much of the town because...

For the entire time I was working like crazy

Like, everyday all day

Uhh, so I really didn't go out much

It's gonna be really fun to kind of explore the place with you guys and...

Discover new things together :D

It's crazy windy today, unfortunately

But the sakura are blooming in Morioka and it's just really beautiful

It's such a nice walk

I live really close to a river

So there's a great path for walking or jogging or biking if I eventually get a bike

Which I'm planning on soon

I was scared that I was gonna miss cherry blossom season while I was in Korea and I almost did lol

Because the day I got back I uhh

Went outside and I saw that they were already fully blooming

And once they bloom they're only around for like

A week, unfortunately

But yeah, I was super lucky

Look at that view, there's a tunnel of cherry blossoms

This city is gorgeous

Can't wait to show you guys more of it~

Alright, it's the moment we've all been waiting for

I don't think I've ever been so excited for a package in my life (heh)

As I mentioned in my Q&A video

I've really been enjoying decorating my apartment!

Especially because I have these really cool looking cement walls

Which actually aren't cement

They're fake they're like stick on, fake cement plastic walls

But the wall just looks really bare

So I decided to be an adult and order some "fine art"

For the wall, so I hope it looks nice

lol xD

Oh my god it looks so good

This is gonna look so awesome on my wall

The only problem is you're not allowed to put holes in Japanese walls

So I'm not quite sure how I'm gonna hang this up

Let's umm, run down to Daiso actually

I'll bring you guys to Daiso with me and I'll see if I can find some kind of stick on...

HOOKS!

Because the walls are kind of plasticky

I feel like I could stick something to it

And take it off later on and it wouldn't rip a hole in the wall

Unlike these stupid paper walls

That you can't do anything with

It's so hard to decorate in my place and make it look nice

Because I can't put anything on the walls

See this room is all paper walls. I can't really do anything with it

But, umm, yeah I feel lucky that I have this one...

On the way back from my walk today

I actually stopped by a cafe that I've been meaning to try for ages

And I had a really good taco rice

It was a vegetarian taco rice that was made using soy meat

And I actually have some soy meat in the cupboard

So I'm gonna see if I can replicate...

What I had for lunch because it was really, really good

Using this

So hopefully this turns out well and you guys can try it as well

(fuck I'm hungry now)

Okay, well that was really easy to make

Hopefully it tastes good

Just use some taco seasoning if you can get it in your country

Or umm, if you're in Japan, I decided to go with the tandoori chicken spice

And it smelled just like taco seasoning

Pretty sure it's almost...

It's actually quite similar to the one I had at the cafe for lunch

I'm... pretty impressed with myself

So one of my New Year's resolutions was to start playing the piano again

I used to play when I was younger, like a lot younger

And I really wanted to get back into it again

So I ordered this cheap electronic piano off of Amazon

It was the highest rated one that I could get for an affordable price

And I'm pretty impressed with it

The keys are really heavy, like a real acoustic piano and I like that

The only problem is I'm actually not allowed to have instruments in this apartment lol

That's a common rule of Japanese apartments

Because they're noisy and they bug the neighbors

So I've got to play with headphones all the time

Which is kind of lame

And that means you guys can't listen to me

But you can pretend that this is me because...

I'm definitely as good as this recording
