I wanted to show you what I've gotten myself for my holiday gift.

And that is something that I've been thinking about for a long time, actually, and question me myself, asking myself if it's really what I want.

And you know, I've been trying it out for a while and it's been great.

And it is this the ultra white thank you X 35 01 r monitor.

I've been having so much fun with this monitor.

You know, the last monitor I got must have been 10 years ago, and it was a disastrous experience.

I hated it so much.

The color accuracy is were no good.

The resolution was bad.

It was boki big.

The contrast ratio was horrible.

It was hard to use.

I just thought, you know, laptop monitors are actually far better than external monitors.

I'm just giving up monitors all together, and that gave up external monitors for a long time.

Only recently have I decided.

Well, maybe it's time to take another look.

Give it another chance.

When I made my last video on my desk set up, a lot of people were surprised.

I wasn't using an external monitor, and I still felt pretty good about myself because I didn't wanna monitor to take up a bunch of desk space.

I thought that my desk looked a lot cleaner without the external monitor and your laptop monitors are just so good.

The Mac Book Pro Retina Monitor This quality is something that external monitors simply cannot beat.

I really good colors.

Excellent.

I PS display and just very good all around.

So what made me change my mind?

What?

That's a good question.

If you take a look at this monitor.

There's a few things that are very interesting about it.

Okay, it is curved 35 inches.

HD are ergonomically, looks very clean, very thin bezels, and the amount of space that takes on the desk is very minimal.

As soon as I received this and plugged it in, there was no looking back for me.

I was also pleasantly surprised when I hooked up my PlayStation for it to the monitor and found they could play HDR enabled games, so I was playing the shadow of the tomb.

Greater in HD are so much fun.

I would say that the HDR colors and support isn't as good as H E R T V, but still, as they put the guest some improvement in the colors.

And it's been great.

Having this external monitor allowed me to actually free up the living room TV for my wife to watch other TV shows in the evening for the processing is very important for me.

I take a lot of photos, and one of my largest annoyances with prior displays was that I would process a photo.

And when I viewed the photo on another person's monitor, it would be like the skin tones would be blue or red.

And people would say, What's wrong with your photos?

They look horrible, And I would say What looks good on my computer and you?

This is because love external monitors aren't properly color calibrated, and they don't support the fool s RGB color, gamut space.

Even if you tried to calibrate the colors, oftentimes the colors will still come out wonky, and you can't trust the colors that you see.

That was one big reason I gave up external monitors and just went straight for using whatever the mat book showed me.

Because I know that Mac book colors are going to be at least the same across millions of other devices that everyone else is using.

You know, including iPhone devices, for example.

But the great thing about this monitors it supports the four s RGB color space and plus also supports Mac book colors if you want to view it that way.

And so the great thing is that I know that's the colors on the mat book look very, very similar to the colors on the monitor, which is exactly what I need for further processing.

You just have a really good, accurate color.

Reproduction made this completely usable for me.

Beyond that, the economics of an ultra wide monitor have just been really fun in terms of productivity and just sitting back in the evenings and surfing than that, I could just open up multiple windows too many things at the same time, just multi past easier.

It's just been more productive for me and I find that Yeah, sure, I can suffer a little bit more and use a smaller screen.

But I didn't see any real loss in adding an external monitor that just improved my overall standard of living quality of life.

And you know, I think that's really what this is about.

The thing to note for me is as a minimalist, I'm going to be adding something to my equipment set up.

It better be good.

I'm not going to just be using any old random monitor.

I leave the one I would just throw it out.

I would trash it.

Whatever I had better be good.

And I was pleasantly surprised that this monitor has been great.

Let me show you how thin this monitor is.

Actually says you can see this monitor doesn't take up that much space on my desk actually has a fairly low profile.

You can see that the buzzers are pretty thin, and the other great thing that this monitor has is a light sensor here.

This light sensor automatically adjust the color, temperature and the brightness of the display so that you don't have to fiddle with the brightness.

All the time.

I know that a lot of people probably haven't had the chance to experience an ultra wide monitor yet.

I know I didn't I didn't even know that such monitors were really a thing.

And it turns out that these are a lot of fun.

They make viewing movies or gaming very immersive, encompassing, and also helps with Mark that asking, putting multiple window side by side.
