  • Hello, everybody.

  • Today we are making my friend Sandy's Mojo Cookies U two's best for creative things.

  • It's cooking and crap.

  • Hey, kids say I'm finally going to be doing my friend Sandy's cooking.

  • She called them Mojo Cookies.

  • I have no clue what they truly are called.

  • So if you do know what a recipe that would be similar to, that's what he called.

  • Can you let me know what it iss be really interesting.

  • She called them the mojo cookies.

  • Her sons play baseball or plain playthings for young still play baseball.

  • And whenever they need the mojo, she would make these for them.

  • I've been missing her a lot lately.

  • She What's a good friend that I actually met on YouTube years and years ago, and she passed away a few years ago, so I'm making her cookies.

  • Finally, that is one cup of shortening, and this is two cups of granulated sugar, and we are going to cream that together we're now going to add in three eggs.

  • I probably should lift out one cup of sour cream and 1/2 of a spoon of almond extracts, and then we're gonna mix it up nice and well, and then, while that mix is, what I'm gonna do is I'm going to put in a table a teaspoon of baking soda, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, and I'm going to add Jack into this container that I have already measured out my five cups of all purpose flour.

  • And I'm gonna mix that in together, so Well, let this go.

  • We'll take care of this.

  • Now I'm gonna add envying five cups of flour.

  • I'm gonna probably do that in two different editions so that we don't create too much of a coward ends.

  • Then we're going to just make sure that's that is all in there and mixed very well, So this stow is very sticky.

  • So what we're gonna do is we are gonna put it into a plastic bag, and we're gonna put it into the refrigerator for a couple of hours before we roll them out.

  • So here's my great big bag of mojo cookies into the French government.

  • So I rolled everything out with some full hour, and I'm just using like a regular biscuit cutter, and we are going to cut out all being cookie means I've preheated my oven to 350 degrees, right, baby?

  • And you are going to be my little helper, right to put the raspberry filling on the inside of these cookies.

  • So let me get them all over here and being will help assemble them for you being ditched.

  • Me?

  • Hey, wanting to do his own thing?

  • I did one they're But anyway, you use 1/2 of a teaspoon of raspberry jelly, and then you're going to use some sliced almonds.

  • And so you similar Tilly kind of leaked out of that one.

  • But that one's been sitting for a while, and then we're going to make it like a taco and seal the edges.

  • And we're gonna continue doing that for all these cookies.

  • Now, we're gonna put them into that 350 degree of them for 10 minutes, and we're gonna make, like, a little drizzle.

  • That's gonna go over this so we'll be back for that.

  • So now that the cookies are mostly finished baking and cooling, I have one and 1/2 cups of CNH powdered sugar.

  • I have two tablespoons off milk and a teaspoon of almond extract, which we're going to mix and drizzle over the cookies.

  • Now, I should add that the cookies, as they are right now as they stand, are absolutely delicious.

  • This will just take it over the top.

  • Um, I used an entire jar off 10 ounces of the red raspberry preserves to finish up these cookies, and it made quite a lot of cookies.

  • Um, if I had to guess, I would say between three and four dozen.

  • Okay, six.

  • I'm going to be adding, obviously a little bit more milk to this.

  • Just a little drizzle made a total of 70 cookies.

  • I did go and count them all.

  • I added about another three tablespoons or so off milk to get this to a drizzling consistency on DDE.

  • So there you go, my friend Sandy's more Joe cookies.

  • I'm so happy that she shared this recipe with me so that I could share it with you.

  • Sometimes recipes on lost when people pass because, you know, you don't have the guts toe, speak up and ask and chick to share.

  • She said that she was making them and I asked what they were, and she went one step further and something to me.

  • Here in Hawaii, a batch and I have never forgotten them.

  • They are absolutely delicious.

  • Now, if you want a fool for them up a little bit, you can go ahead while the blazes still, um, wet.

  • Just Sprinkle a little bit of these slivered almonds.

  • I think I used a little less than half of a bag for the insides of these.

  • You can have them.

  • You can add quite a few of the cookies to the pan because they don't really spread while they're cooking, so you can fit quite a few of them on there.

  • I think I was getting about 18 to 20 on each shoot.

  • So there you go.

  • I hope you make these.

  • I hope you enjoy them.

  • Thanks for watching.
