I am a composer.

I'm John Deke, founder and director of the very young composers of an after school program of the New York Philharmonic, which empowers and celebrates natural musical creativity of Children.

Who would have thought that public school kids could compose, harmonize and orchestrate their own music of such complexity and depth and coolness?

It may seem obvious now, now that we've seen it done by them thousands of times across the U.

S.

And in 12 countries.

But it wasn't obvious then, to celebrate 20 years of very young composers of the New York Philharmonic and the amazing outpouring of creativity we've seen from post with 1000 students over the years.

We want to throw an incredibly ambitious celebration.

Seven composers are going to have their pieces played at the New York Philharmonic concert on the Fourth of June at a wonderful location called National Sawdust and all live streamed toe our friends in South Korea, Venezuela, Finland and the Netherlands.

You don't have anyone writing for us.

We're like, really expressing ourselves.

Feel happy if you're free, because this it's like distressing my thoughts.

If I'm angry I can compose, Happy, Composed said.

It's anything I got lost in it.

Usually like when I composed, I just think about it, and I usually don't think this'll very young composer Celebration will be part of N.

Y Fill biennial festival, showcasing the best of new music from all around the world, and we need your help to do it on this scale.

Your contribution will support teaching artists of the New York Philharmonic, working with the four New York City very young composers preparing music for this concert, the musicians of the New York Philharmonic who give their all to realize the musical imaginations of these kids and, of course, production and technical costs that enable us to make this a truly global event.
