  • Hey guys! It's kind of noisy in here

  • because me and Kelsey are in the subway

  • But we are headed to do some hanami! (Cherry blossom viewing)

  • Our first hanami of the year!

  • Well my first, you too?

  • My first too!

  • So I'm super excited because I love hanami!

  • And I thought I would show you guys the subway

  • I don't usually include my train ride in my videos

  • So I thought maybe you guys would find that interesting

  • So we are going to take the train just for 1 stop actually

  • It's super close

  • Asano-san!

  • is in the stationnnn

  • So that's always awesome

  • The train should be here soon

  • And it's only gonna be a 3 minute ride I think

  • We made it on the train

  • I'm gonna try hard not to get other people in my video

  • except for me and Kelsey, because that's rude

  • We're gonna take the train for 3 minutes to Nakameguro Station

  • I'm not sure where the sakura are exactly

  • So hopefully we can find them easily when we get off the train

  • But yeah! Excitingggg

  • Luckily there's a map right outside the station

  • So we are here and we want to find this river

  • Because there's lots of sakura on either side of the river

  • and it's so beautiful!

  • There are so many people here!

  • The sakura in Japan only last for about a week or two

  • Unlike Canada where they'll be around for months

  • So, once the sakura start to bloom

  • everyone rushes to go see them as soon as possible

  • so that they don't miss them

  • Sakura spotted in the distance!

  • Check it out!

  • They're almost in full bloom

  • We came at a really good time

  • This river is located a 20 second walk from the station

  • So if you come out of Nakameguro station and just keep walking straight

  • you will find this place!

  • If you guys can see the petals in the water...

  • when the sakura start to fall off after a couple weeks

  • this river becomes filled with petals and it's so beautiful

  • So I hope I'll have a chance to come back and see them again

  • Are you ready to see the delicious food that we picked up at the convenience store on the way here?

  • We found these really yummy looking bentos

  • So me and Kelsey each got one

  • They have lots of veggies in them

  • Which is awesome! Because I love veggies!

  • I also love egg and there's a tamago-maki

  • and this rice has some egg on it too

  • These look like shrimp croquette

  • And a potato, some pasta

  • some rice with different grains in it

  • and we also found some sakura desserts!

  • So I've shown you guys sakura mochi before

  • But this is "spoon de taberu sakura mochi"

  • So, this is a sakura mochi that you can eat with a spoon

  • That's nice! So we won't get our hands dirty

  • So that is gonna be super yummy, I can tell already

  • And we got some drinks of course!

  • Because you can't do hanami without getting drunk

  • We got "shiroi sawa- momo aji"

  • These are like a light cider kinda drink

  • Peach flavour!

  • and Kelsey got a beer

  • and we got our chopsticks and wet tissues and we're ready to go!

  • Mmmm!

  • WHY IS THIS SO GOOD

  • It doesn't taste like peach it tastes like candy!!

  • Oh my god

  • It tastes like a mixture of ramune and peach

  • Better!

  • Cotton candy and peach?

  • Yeah yeah yeah

  • It kinda tastes like cream soda!

  • THIS IS SO GOOD

  • I don't drink very often, I don't really like alcohol

  • But this is so yummy!

  • Tatsuru... what's going on with your hair?

  • Are you a beautiful princess?

  • Yes yes. Let it go~ let it go~

  • This is what happens when Japanese people drink beer

  • Be careful

  • We just found the most delicious thing ever

  • so we had to buy it!

  • Because that's what we needed right, was more sweets

  • It's a sakura-an filled taiyaki!

  • But it's not just a regular taiyaki

  • It's made with a pie crust instead of the regular doughy kind

  • Holy crap

  • That's good huh?

  • It's like a pie crust, a hot pie crust

  • It's filled with the same filling as in sakura mochi

  • Two thumbs up!

  • If I could show my other thumb, I would!

  • Two!!!

  • This is my first time coming to Meguro River for hanami

  • I love it here! It's really nice!

  • And it's not super crowded, it's a lot less people than I was expecting

  • So I think I'll be coming here next year!

  • And probably again this year as well!

  • I hope you guys enjoyed my hanami video

  • and happy sakura viewing to all you people in Japan!

  • Thanks for watching! Bye!

Hey guys! It's kind of noisy in here
