And welcome to another video.

I've got him purchased.

An X box.

Why, you may ask.

Well, I never had one growing up.

I was more of a Sony kind of guy.

And to this day, that still rings true.

Little bit aside from, of course, my love for PC gaming.

When I saw one of these on the Facebook marketplace going cheap, I decided that I just have to have this old school consul in my life as well as a few games that these days can be picked up for an unbelievably cheap amount of money.

Today I want to look back at the some crops or celebrate what made it great and talk about why I decided to purchase one in 2000 and 18.

Now we do like to take a look at our PC Tech on this channel, but I thought, Hey, why not look back at a consul to I mean, I'm sure most of you out there can relate.

I'm sure you've had one of these bad boys growing up.

If no, Sony's PlayStation two.

So buckle up because we're going on a trip down memory Lane.

First launching in 2001 the original Xbox was equipped with a 733 megahertz Pentium 3 64 megabytes of DDR RAM and 233 megahertz in video graphics.

Unlike Sony's PlayStation, the X box Closer resembled a PC as opposed to a home consul.

It even looked like an old school I t X build inside, thanks to its use of a traditional DVD driving hard disk.

By today's standards, thes components would be considered obsolete.

Yet the Xbox was the fastest sixth generation consul on the market at the time and therefore offered the best looking graphics in comparison to the PlayStation two in Game Cube.

But back in the pre HD TV days, No, I'm really cared.

Okay, that's probably not entirely true.

But the whole Consul Wars thing was more of an argument between a select few throwing facts about tech specs at each other as opposed to hell.

Things looked graphics wise, but I don't want to provoke an old squeaks box versus PS two argument.

Oh, no, today I want to share with you my first ever X box experience.

See what made getting this more special to me was the fact I've never had one.

And it brought back a warm and nostalgic fuzzy feeling, honestly felt like my 10 year old self again discovering a new generation of gaming for the first time, like when our family first got a PS one.

What's better, though, is how much I paid for all of these games, most of which I've never played on any home consul or PC.

Hopefully, some of you out there are in the same boat.

So let's discover some amazing old school titles together after unboxing or rather, on bagging the concert itself.

I fight it up for the first time and was super excited when I accidentally hit the eject button because a copy of Driver three popped out.

I've made a video about this on my classic gaming in HD Channel in the past, about how I both loved and hated this game.

One thing's for sure, they it is probably one of the most memorable games I've ever played on.

I just couldn't resist jumping into it again here as a guy by the name of Tanna, who is an undercover cop, you can either play the undercover story mode, which consists off a few different missions in a few varied locations.

Or if, like me, you prefer to take things a little easier, you can jump into the take a ride mode under Explore the open World, not to mention laugh at some of the funny in game physics hit.

This is certainly a game that was rather negatively received in some, if not most, reviews.

But I have fun with it, and I think if you have fun with a gang, that's all that matters.

Battle good.

This was certainly a big part of my childhood.

The Pierce to version.

Of course, this next title was probably one that excited me the most.

After seeing it for the small sum of £6 I knew I had to have it see back in the days off both the Xbox and PlayStation.

I ordered this on eBay 4 £15 I was scammed.

It never turned up.

I often joke among my friends that I've been waiting about 15 years for this game on DDE.

I look in my letterbox every morning with anticipation in the hopes that the seller finally developed a conscience and sent it to me, but no such luck just yet.

After spending £6 firing this game up for the first time, I was pretty impressed with what I saw.

I have to say I have never experienced the game where you can lift up in launch cows across a farmer's field or suck the brains from n peces adjust.

Have no experienced anything of this quality in a long time.

This is probably one of the most fun games I've played.

In fact, I lost track making this very video because I was sort of absorbed into the world of destroy humans, and I really couldn't put this one down.

It's such a random concept for a title, and it's like one of those risks that a lot of developers are afraid to take these days, in case it doesn't sell all too well.

That decade and 1/2 white to play this title was certainly worth it here.

Just look, this'd is one of the funniest and most fun I've had in a game in a long time.

I'll admit now when I picked up my X box, I was also fortunate enough to be a lucky recipient of a demo disc that came with an issue off X Box magazine.

Now this has all sorts of game demos on it, including the likes of far cry instincts on dhe burnout Revenge.

First of all, let's jump into far cry on DDE have a little play through the opening level now, but when this came out, it was probably one of the best looking games of the generation, and it's easy to see why.

Launching in 2000 and five, this first person shooter was pretty well received in terms of reviews.

And after playing through the demo here, I have to say that I had quite a bit of fun as well.

Of course, I've always been a fan of the far cry franchise, so going back to see one of the earliest alterations is always a thrill.

I think jumped into burnout.

Revenge.

A pretty cool racing game.

It's got this pretty awesome crash feature where you can control the aftermath of some wreckage, which is nice.

I remember playing burnout take down.

I believe it was which had similar features, and it was more fun to crash your car.

Then it was to race I know, I'm not sure, but I think this game certainly feels like it's running at 60 frames per second.

I'm not sure how many original Xbox games did run at 60 f.

P s, but this feels a lot smoother.

Then a lot of other titles, particularly Driver three and destroy all humans, which felt like they were running at about 25 to 30 F.

B s most of the time.

Burn out here, though.

It feels very smooth indeed and, of course, is the demo version.

So I'm not sure if the end result looked different to this or play differently.

But all I can say is graphics was it's pretty impressive and it still seems to be a pretty fun racer.

I also never had this one either growing up.

So it's great to get back into some of these ultra cool racing titles on what's called about the demo disc is that I got a couple of videos as well, showing me a few tech demos from the Xbox 360 before it came out.

As a messy fan of Tomb Raider Siri's, I was also quite surprised.

I've never played to raid and legend this was a pretty fun one as well, and I seemed to lose about two hours of my day to this one, or while trying to make a video which is always rather inconvenient.

But you know, again is good when you're supposed to be working on dhe.

It totally distracts you from your plans.

But I had a fin.

There was still more I could do here, running the Xbox on my TV.

It's fine, but someone asked me a question the other day regarding the budget projector I tested a while ago, they said, Has he got any bulb life left?

And I thought, Why not pair these two together to make a Super budget old school sort of home?

Fear to gaming set up and I just could not resist.

So let's construct a makeshift big screen here and really get them host out of these absolute classics.

To get the most out of thestreet projector, I'd have to wait for the sun to go down.

So a couple of hours later, our power, the Xbox back up and jumped into one of my all time favorites.

Grand Theft Auto Vice City.

No one needs 80 inches of duty A.

But playing it like this is certainly a great way to go about it.

To conclude my first ever Ogi Xbox experience has been an exciting one.

To pick up and play a consul a decade and 1/2 after its launch may seem silly to some, especially if, like me, the PC is now your chosen platform, a platform whereby most of these titles are available on.

It's also worth noting.

That's some original Xbox games are available through backwards compatibility.

But with a whole host of titles out there seemingly forgotten about, there's still something special about picking up a piece of hardware like this and letting the nostalgia hit you like a ton of bricks.

It won't be for everyone, and that's a fact.

But it's so refreshing to take a break from a gaming world that's moving forward quicker than ever.

In terms of tech, no matter your chosen platform and take pleasure in the simplicity that Microsoft's first consul brings to the table, there's a whole world of games out there just waiting to be rediscovered, and with that, I'm going to end the video.
