It is 2020 and dietary restrictions are on the rise. Da-da-da-dun! But for every meat option, we know that there is a plant-based alternative. And for every dairy option, there is something that will not have you reaching for the LACTAID. OK? And nowadays it's hard to tell which is which. That is why today I'm going to put my tastebuds to the test to see if I can tell the difference in a blind taste test. Let's go. Blindfold, please. Damn, Janet. All right! Let me put them on first. At least they comfortable. They got little cushions in them. Did we get sauce for stuff? If it's something I got to dip, I'm going to need sweet and sour sauce or barbecue. I don't really use ketchup or mustard or mayonnaise. I just have a fear because I don't really like mayonnaise. It smell good. Now how am I supposed to eat this with a fork and I can't see? How do I do that? I'm going to have to use my hands. What the hell is this? Is this a vegetable? This feel like celery. Is it not celery? Am I doing this right, y'all? What is this? Now, this is different on top. Y'all ain't going to help me? Y'all just going to look at me? I don't know how to eat this. Somebody tell me how to eat it. Pick it up. Then why you give me a fork? Did I get the right thing? This is celery. This is it, right? This buffalo flavor. It was soft like a chicken tender. It was breaded like a chicken tender. It had buffalo sauce like a buffalo style chicken tender. It's a chicken tender. OK, I'm going to come over here. I should've known with this celery this was some buffalo. Why couldn't we get barbecue flavor? Oh, the breading a little different on this one. This is a little different. This fried different. It's a little more wiggly too. OK. Hold on. This the chicken. This the alternative. That's my final answer. Because this one, it tastes like chicken. But there's like a slight change. And I could tell by the breading that it didn't hold the same consistency that normal chicken tenders have. OK, let's see here. Oh, this look like fish sticks. What's this tofu? Who? Tempeh. Tempeh, who that? Oh. Yeah, that's good. All right, next. That was good. Why you put the celery on there? All righty, here we go. Oh, this a burger. This a big burger. It smell good. It's got sesame seeds on it. That's good, a lot of flavor. That was tasty. And now over here. Smell the same, feel the same. I know which one is the alternative, and I know which one isn't. And I would have to say that I prefer the alternative, which is this one. Consistency-wise, it was the same. Flavor in the actual product was stronger in this one. And I'm a type of flavor type of person. You know I'm always talking about seasoning. That's meat. This is right. I was right. This one's good. What this is made out of? Plants. That don't tell me much. That could be grass. That's crazy. Wow. They out here bamboozling people. So what are the health benefits? You don't know. What flavor cupcake is this? Do we know? Is it chocolate? Y'all know I don't like chocolate. I hope it ain't peanut butter, because I'm allergic to peanuts. I know that Janet be forgetting my allergies. She about to take me out, y'all, so she can get the insurance money. I'm not dumb. OK, here we go. Tastes like a regular cupcake to me. I don't eat a lot cupcakes, so I may not be too good at this one. That was good though. That's the alternative. I can tell because it's thicker. It's got a specific taste. It's harder to chew. That's the alternative. That's the real deal right there. [BUZZER SOUND] Whew, that was a lot of work. Chocolate, chocolate. Is this a "Yo-Ho?" Ain't that what it called? "Yo-Hos" or something. "Ho-Hos." "Ding-Dongs?" Ding-Dongs? I actually preferred this one. And I have to say, prefer, because legally I can't say better. But this one was better. I like this one because this was easier to eat. Like, immediately, it was so moist that once it-- these a lot of words that not going to go right together. Wow! Well, lookey there.
