  • how everybody.

  • I'm making this video kind of as a notice of what has been going on in my life and also a p s A.

  • And a, uh, warning to everybody out there who is living in another country living in Japan, living off of visas.

  • Ah, and I went to one year of the mistakes that I've made and possible consequences of what could happen.

  • And I'll tell you a little story about what has happened to me because it's some dumb stuff that is entirely my fault.

  • Before we get started, I would like to say a huge, massive, enormous thank you two took your creative there.

  • The company that I work for and during this whole thing, they have bean unbelievably supportive and just help me through everything and really being there for me.

  • So they have bean Very wonderful.

  • So thank you.

  • Took your creative.

  • If you guys haven't checked out that channel, there's always a linking description down below.

  • And if you don't see enough of my face on this channel, I'm on the channel a lot.

  • So please go and check them out if you haven't yet, so I will begin this story We're talking about my visa history really quickly.

  • When I came to Japan three years ago, I was on the working holiday Visa and I knew that one.

  • You had to renew it every six months, so I was always on time, like a couple of months in advance, just ready to renew my visa diddle myself.

  • After that, I was on a student visa and I only did the student visa for six months and I never had to renew my visa or anything, so I didn't have to worry about that.

  • I'm now on a specialist of humanity's engineering visa.

  • I think that's what it's called.

  • It's a very, very visible.

  • Basically, it's a working visa.

  • My brain.

  • I was just like, Ah, a working visa.

  • What I've always wanted.

  • I finally have obtained it.

  • How wonderful the company will take care of it.

  • That's what my wonderful brain decided to assume.

  • I thought that a working visa without asking anyone without even looking it up, I thought a working visa was like, Okay, you started for the one year working visa, and then the company at the end of the year will say, Ah ha, you've done very well.

  • You will get another working visa.

  • It's completely know how it works.

  • They might renew your contract, but the visa is completely up to you.

  • It is legally completely up to the person to renew their own visa.

  • And, uh, everyone else who works with Take Your Creative has been in the country for a very long time and already knows exactly what to do.

  • So what, you're just going about their business?

  • Everybody's just living the life that was just living mine about a month ago.

  • I So my expiration date on my visa and it was two months out of date to expired two months before that point, which is a really not a good position to be in.

  • That's really you don't want to be that it's not not not good.

  • Um, so had a little freak out, and I was like, I don't know the severity of what this means.

  • Having a visa that is two months expired.

  • So I e mailed my company and I asked my friends, my friend was immediately like, get a lawyer, do not go anywhere.

  • Do not go to immigration or anything without a lawyer.

  • Don't you dare go without a lawyer.

  • Uh, I had people being like, you really need to fix that right now.

  • People started to be I started to realize how big of a situation it waas.

  • I was like, Oh, my God.

  • Okay, I messaged work people, and they're like, Oh, my gosh, How did this happen?

  • So they immediately sprang into action and really go to helping me.

  • So we managed to get a lawyer involved.

  • We went to immigration.

  • Uh, but before we went to immigration, I did have to, like, look up the consequences of what could happen.

  • And it's a really serious thing if your visa is expired.

  • Um, if I was caught by the police, just like by a random Oh, just can you just show us your your resident's card?

  • Can you just proved that you you have a visa?

  • I've had that happen before in my local town.

  • I remember I was walking home once in the police stopped me and all.

  • Can I just see your visa?

  • And yet you go though.

  • Okay, Cool.

  • Thanks.

  • Just a random check.

  • If that had happened to me or I was an accident or anything like that, I could have been banned from the country for technically 5 to 10 years.

  • 10 years of hardly be if I committed a pretty bad crime.

  • Five years is because I didn't declare it.

  • And I just got found out, which is in itself a crime, you know, staying on an expired visa.

  • If you are quarter you announce it yourself.

  • You can be banned for one year.

  • And so I was headed to immigration.

  • I was, like, almost crying, thinking Am I gonna get detained in immigration?

  • Am I gonna be able to come back and see my hamster?

  • Am I gonna have to have all my clothes packed by Arik and get him to meet me at the airport?

  • If they take me straight to the airport and I have to leave for a whole year, I'm gonna lose my job and lose everything.

  • My Parkman, It was like, really it was too big.

  • So before all of this happened, I've booked tickets to fly to Australia about two months ago.

  • I think, uh, this coming Wednesday, Arc and I supposed to fly to Australia for a nice holiday, and the plan was like just before the holiday was gonna work really hard with T C and really hot a man child to have, like, a backlog of videos.

  • And it was gonna be totally fine if I didn't find out about my visa being expired.

  • I would have gone to the airport, be like, right, ready to go on holiday.

  • Here's my visa.

  • And they would have been like, Oh, well, you know, love back in the country and you're banned for a year.

  • Get out of here.

  • Uh, but, you know, those are the possibilities.

  • They didn't happen.

  • It's just it is a possibility.

  • I went to immigration with a colleague, so over, like a big letter of apologizing and saying why it happened and that I was just really stupid.

  • And I didn't understand how system worked.

  • Feel that all these papers gave the men they sent us to the wrong desk, fielding more papers, sent us the wrong district, and it took about five five hours at immigration, so they end up giving me a temporary visa.

  • Temporary visa is three months long, but they started it from the date that my visa expired.

  • So there was no time where I was illegal.

  • According to my visa, which is super great.

  • Thank you.

  • Immigration.

  • So on the current temporary visa that I'm on, I'm not allowed to work or receive salary.

  • So while I'm on the temporary visa, a new visa is being made, Uh, just the same visas that I had before.

  • But we have to start from scratch rather than me just being able to renew it quite easily.

  • We have to apply for the same visa, like, completely a new.

  • Now, from this point, I'm 98% sure that I'll get the visa.

  • I mean, we had a lawyer check everything, and it should be arriving any day now, but I'm supposed to be flying to Australia on Wednesday, which I don't think is gonna happen anymore.

  • I'm leaving it to the last last minute before I cancel the flights.

  • Right now It is Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, since five days until we fly, including today, in the day we fly.

  • So the main issue for me now is I'm just waiting, just in case the visa comes.

  • They said at the fastest it would be three weeks, but three weeks exactly is the day before I leave.

  • So I don't think that's gonna happen.

  • It's a very weird place to be in because I can't really plan the future.

  • I can't I mean, I I can try and plan the future, and I can try and do things.

  • But it just feels way because I have no idea what country will be in next week.

  • So that's one thing that I'm worrying about.

  • Another thing is I'm not allowed to work on a temporary visa.

  • So I personally thought that it would be okay to make YouTube videos and stream on twitch because I thought, You know, people come here on holiday from other countries and they can still stream and do YouTube.

  • It's totally fine, like no one's gonna tell them they can't work in Japan because it's kind of on the Internet.

  • But because my case is currently being looked at, there was a chance that the person looking at it could see Oh, let me look for her online.

  • Oh, look, she's currently posting things.

  • Oh, that could count as work.

  • It's kind of a blurry line with YouTube, so it's best to keep it safe.

  • So that's why, for a little bit of time I've had to take down s and pass videos just that I've uploaded in the time while I've bean not ableto work.

  • And so finding that out the other day that I just had to stop all work, including YouTube and twitch.

  • I completely understand why, but now I'm like, Oh my God, what do it logically?

  • I could still film and edit and have big backlog of videos, but it just took away some of the purpose that I had Also.

  • Now Eric has some visa troubles with his.

  • I didn't really get a break doing with Alex Visa troubles.

  • He's just graduated with his associates degree occur, Eric.

  • And he's starting a new school t in his bachelor's degree.

  • But the new school starts in September, and so there's a couple a couple of months in between where it's like don't have a visa, get to try and do a tourist visa and hope that it adds up to enough to just be able to stay in the country and transfer to a student visa.

  • But he won't be able to work for like, three or four months, and, uh, nobody's dead.

  • I'm still in Japan and still have my apartment and all my friends and everything still have my job.

  • And they are being super gracious and just keeping things chill.

  • I want to work and I want to film with them so, so badly.

  • But I just like we can't we can't So any stuff that you see on take your creative that's uploaded in the past month with me in it.

  • We filmed quite a while ago, so that's completely free from will.

  • But the visa stuff also, I tried to call my airline today just to check in and let them know my situation.

  • I was on hold for 45 minutes and then I just gave up.

  • So I'm just gonna try again on Monday when I tried to cancel the flights.

  • If I try to cancel the flight, still got a little bit of hope.

  • But even if we do get to go to Australia and I find out on Monday, that leaves two days Thio pack and finish everything here before we fly away for like, three weeks, which is a really long time.

  • I have no idea how this is gonna work out because it's being like this weird kind of forced holiday for a month and then going on another holiday for three weeks.

  • But this isn't really being a holiday, because a visa stressed.

  • Please, if you have any visit, just research, See when you need to renew it, how to venue it all.

  • That kind of stuff.

  • Don't be a big, dumb idiot like me.

  • And just think that the world's gonna work out.

  • Okay, so I've learned a very valuable lesson.

  • I can't post this video until I have the new visa.

  • So hey, wanna post this video?

  • I've got a new visa who I find little good.

  • I don't know if I'll be in Australia or not.

  • So if it hasn't arrived by now, it's not going to arrive on Saturday or Monday.

  • There's just no way.

  • Ah, Emma.

  • Inside here.

  • What happens in the future?

  • Uh hey, guys.

  • Sir, Update from future.

  • Emma.

  • I got the visa.

  • I just got it today.

  • It's actually Sunday s a Today.

  • Sunday, I'm going to go pick it up two more, and then I have one more day.

  • And then the day after we fly, So it's pretty cutting it close.

  • But so, so, so, so glad it's bean.

  • A very crazy well, wind last minute trip now, but it's gonna be totally fine.

  • It's gonna be awesome.

  • And I get to see my family.

  • So back to you sad Emma.

  • Ha ha!
