so excited this is officially the first

fashion video since I gave birth I'm

really excited to start going back to

fashion content and I would love to hear

what you guys want to see from me but

today I wanted to make this first video

talking about the essentials we're going

back to basics first of all thank you

today I want to talk about basic

essentials in a wardrobe that all of us

should have I know that all of us love

the newest latest things but there is

this staple pieces that I feel like

every woman should own and have an

invest in actually most of the things

that I'm going to show you our very

budget-friendly and I'm gonna link a lot

of options and other budget-friendly

things for you in the description box I

learned about building a good staple

wardrobe when I was modeling and had 10

dollars to spend per week I really need

a kept creative and to make sure that I

have the right pieces to create as many

outlets as I can especially for a model

that every day goes to castings and

often you do see the same people let's

get to it first item that I think that

every girl should have in her closet for

a basic is a white t-shirt

I know super exciting you can't go wrong

this will take you from morning to

evening tonight for daytime you put it

with a pair of your favorite jeans a

blazer you got to go for nighttime I

love to even take pieces they're a

little more like fancy-schmancy and put

it with a white t-shirt to create that

cool balance that is not too stuffy and

not too dress that I personally love a

crewneck I feel like that's the best and

most versatile

neckline for a white t-shirt but I guess

it's a it's a personal preference you

want to make sure that you get a good

quality that you take care of them next

staple is a button-down white shirt I

have a confession to make the

is not mine this is Gary's I personally

love the look and the feel of an

oversized like men's button-down and I

find that button downs for men are

designed a little more crisp but there's

something about them you obviously don't

have to go such large size but you can

even go to any men's section and get

yourself a smaller size men's shirt this

again can be dressed up and down even

wearing this with a pair of jeans in the

evening with some pumps and you're ready

to take over the city so I truly believe

that every girl should have a

button-down in her closet and you want

something that is very clean very sleek

no like colorful buttons and nothing too

crazy just get a good breathable

button-down and make sure it's not too

tight because you know the next item

that has been a staple of mine for years

and years and years is the good old

black blazer this is actually thrifted

and to be honest with you I love finding

thrifted jackets and blazers the fit is

much better than what we find now and

this was like $20 but this has become my

personal favorite blazer in my closet so

this is just a black one it has a little

gold little nuances you want to make

sure that there's no crazy patterns

there's nothing too distracting that is

as plain canvas as possible you can put

it over a dress to make it a little more

it depends what you want to do every

body type has their own blazer kind of

fits that work for them for me I

personally love the look of an oversized

a little structure shoulder pads here

just to create a better shape and that's

it okay the next staple is something

super basic super simple and it's just a

good old turtleneck a turtleneck is such

a basic to have in your closet I

actually in the winter even put it under

a button-down it has kind of a Annie

Hall type of look to it it's really cool

I love it this is a piece that you kind

of want to invest in

I bought this kind of cashmere blend

turtleneck from Club Monaco a lot of

people buy kind of bigger oversize

and I do love those but this is

definitely a staple that I feel like

every woman should have in her closet

this will work with anything even with

the miniskirts and some boots like Oh

such a good piece the next item that I

think you guys need to have in your

closet as a little black dress now I

know you've heard it so many times I'm

sure you've seen a slip dress everywhere

in the summer people were wearing it

with t-shirts you can wear it with

sweaters on top you've seen me with slip

dresses and sweaters on top that was

like my go-to during the pregnancy I

actually went to an event a couple of

months ago and I just paired it with a

black blazer and some boots and it

looked awesome

now let's move to the pants for me I am

a sucker for trousers and like more kind

of opposite pants but if I had to be

honest with myself office events

what is office events I am a big sucker

for trousers and I have quite a bit of

them I love the look and I do recommend

for you guys to have at least one there

if it's with a neutral color like grey

or black or camel that will work with

the other colors in your closet if I had

to be honest with myself and I had a

very limited amount of budget and had to

buy staple staple it would obviously be

a pair of jeans that is flattering on my

body I personally love straight and I

like them a little cropped at the bottom

I stay away from any rips when I do buy

investment jeans and if you really want

to invest in a pair of jeans and you

want to make sure that you'll be able to

wear it from day to night I would even

go for a darker wash just because

especially in the winter times sometimes

when it's too light it's a little tricky

to pair it with other like darker colors

definitely find your fit know what is

comfortable for you find something that

makes you look good that makes your butt

look good very important for me it's

usually mom jeans with a straight leg

and a crop ankle tada and then the

second parent is a pair of slick black

jeans just because these are so

versatile

personally a big big fan of the Topshop

model Jamie I think this fit complements

most body types to be honest with you

because it's very high it sucks

everything in here and then you have the

long leg so these are always kind of a

go-to for myself especially during

winter and fall time because all the

dark colors are coming out then and then

we're gonna move to the last part of

wardrobe essentials and I am focusing on

things that is appropriate for the

season that we're in right now so the

next thing that I want to focus on is

leather jacket I spoke to you before

about an investment piece and a leather

jacket is definitely something that you

want to invest in I personally had this

jacket where it was pleather but it was

kind of plastic from H&M and I wore it

for years and I thought it looked so

cute and now I look at pictures and it

looks like I'm wearing a garbage bag

so I truly recommend you guys to try to

get the best quality that you can when

it comes to leather jackets this is

actually a leather jacket that I bought

I think seven years ago and it just gets

better with time it actually wears

really well my little tip for someone

that is on a budget if you are looking

for a leather jacket go to thrift store

secondhand stores you'll be surprised

how many amazing pieces you can find

there every time I go into a thrift

store I'll go right away to the leather

jacket section because the fashion right

now is trying to mimic the way they used

to make leather jacket and last but not

least is a coat this is something that's

definitely not a very much of a neutral

color but I actually would recommend you

guys if you're looking for a coat to

find a code that is kind of natural but

has a little pop of color just to bring

a little more interest into your outfit

I find that in the colder months we kind

of go into this dark palette and it can

get a little boring so what I like to do

is to get a really nice overcoat with a

color that will go well with all the

other colors in my closet and all my

other staples for most people I would

probably recommend too

for either camel or gray I went for pink

it's a very soft pink so I know that it

would work really well with a lot of

colors that I usually wear and present

in my closet just make sure that you

have the right fabric make sure that you

don't bind those codes that everything

sticks to it that's so annoying

and remember to get something that can

elevate your look to the next level this

isn't you guys these are my absolutely

basic wardrobe essentials that I think

every woman should have if you're

starting in investing in pieces and

building kind of your staple closet this

will be a good start for you and that's
