Now here's a card that may sound unfamiliar.

Theseus neon a picture of these up recently, not because they could be essay lied, but because I won one on eBay for a penny at about 3 a.m. Last month and another one today because I thought the 1st 1 was never going to turn up.

But the name of the cards spiked enough interest in May for me to want to investigate.

Okay, so I had to pay a few pounds postage.

But at first I thought maybe this cellar didn't get the price they wanted.

So didn't send the original one penny card.

Now that it arrived, I'm stuck with two of them, and I thought, Why not see if this thing can play games?

The first thing you'll notice is that this card is PCR Express X one compatible and likely came from a small form factor H P system from back in the day, primarily used as more of a graphics adapter.

M s 59 connection means you'll need an adapter cable to hook it up to certain monitors.

This card is compatible with Windows 10 which is convenient, and we'll run in pretty much any system considering it's PC I express X one compatibility means it won't consume any more than 25 watts.

What we essentially have here is a lower powered in video 8400 GS GPU with 256 megabytes of DDR to be ram a 459 megahertz call clock on 400 megahertz memory clock.

I tested all the games I had that would run starting with C s go, which we couldn't quite squeeze playable frame rates out off even at 6 40 by 4 80 resolution.

Although that 39 f B s average means you will probably be able to get away with winning about match or two, though the faster paced nature of online competitive play means that Stater's might get in the way.

Bioshock infinite was more BioShock.

Impossible is our card here couldn't quite achieve payable frame rates at 800 by 600 though it certainly put up a good fight.

As we jumped into this pretty demanding an action packed scene here which pushed on the on it to its limits.

The game was set to the very low preset as well.

But can it run crisis?

Well, not really, though It was a smoother experience than BioShock infinite, which is, of course, quite some years.

S 800 by 600 low settings here in the gains demo at just eight frames off a nice, even 30.

There may be some game files that you can play around with somewhere to improve performance.

Also tested Fortnight's, which I believe has recently re added DX 10 support.

Thegame did open and reach the main menu, but then it crashed shortly afterwards.

At this point, I'd have to say, I can see myself having more fun with a Chrysler Neon than an a Seuss Neon.

But let's not give up all hope yet because fallout New Vegas ran just fine at 7 20 p.

HD resolution with a mix of low and medium settings.

Thanks to the wide open world, this game ran at above 30 frames per second on average most of the time, so you will see some slowdown as you venture into built uptown areas, especially New Vegas itself.

Still, the performance increase over most of the other games is a nice improvement.

Tony Hawk's Underground will surrender superbly this time with closer to 60 frames per second at 7 20 p.

Being an older release, most games from this era will run solidly on the ASU's Neon, so that is definitely still some fun to be had with this aging graphics adapter.

There were a few moments of slowdown, but nothing that stopped me from pulling off some sitcom bows on reminiscing from my younger years where I sat and played this game almost every day.

Finally, this far cry, too around the game in the X nine Moz that I could lower that settings even further but didn't have much like overall in seeing a playable frame rates.

Still, it's always fun finding cheap guards on eBay just to mess around with them and taking time from more serious topics every now and then.
