  • Hey guys! Today I'm here with Miranda Ibañez.

  • Miranda Ibañez.

  • Miranda Ibañez.

  • [laughs]

  • I'm sorry, did I say it weird?!

  • She's from Mexico!

  • She's going to try my favorite Japanese snacks! :D

  • For the first time.

  • I'm super excited.

  • We tried some Mexican snacks on her channel, which were delicious!

  • But they had very strong flavors.

  • Whereas here in Japan Japanese people tend not to like REALLY strong flavors.

  • They like subtle flavors.

  • They like more "refined"... like mature? flavors.

  • Okay.

  • Recently I've been really addicted to Ototo.

  • This is like my favorite-

  • Ototo.

  • Ototo!

  • They come in different shapes.

  • This was all I could find here in Tokyo.

  • The conbini near where I live, they have little round animals.

  • They don't have holes in the center. They're just poofy little animals.

  • What's the flavor?

  • This is just a light salt.

  • Okay.

  • This look like a condom.

  • That's a squid.

  • Okay, now I get it.

  • It's like this.

  • It's a squid condom.

  • It's a squid.

  • Squid condom.

  • Mmm!

  • So good.

  • These are so addicting to eat!

  • So good! They're so so good!

  • Ototo?

  • Ototo.

  • O... ototo.

  • I can tell that this is an "o"

  • So it's ototo.

  • All right! This is another one that I really like.

  • It's another kind of really subtle salty flavor.

  • This is kappa ebisen.

  • So these are shrimp chips.

  • They taste a little bit like shrimp.

  • We have something that looks like this in Mexico.

  • It smells like--oh man.

  • WOAH that smells really... seafood.

  • ...Yeah.

  • It's not a great smell, actually.

  • Mmm!

  • Mm.

  • Smells not that cool but tastes amazing!

  • Yeah this one does not smell good!

  • At the end you have the flavor of shrimp, but just at the end.

  • Pocky?

  • It's shaped like a pocky and it's kind of like a breadstick

  • but it has more of a salty flavor.

  • This one is salad flavor.

  • I don't know why they picked salad flavor.

  • Crunchy salad.

  • Crunchy salad! You can eat crunchy salad sticks.

  • These are really, really good.

  • They're called Pretz.

  • They actually have a bunch of different flavors but these are my favorite.

  • All right, I'm gonna take 2.

  • They smell like cheese, though.

  • Cheese?

  • Yeah.

  • Oh, it does smell like cheese!

  • It doesn't taste anything like cheese!

  • Salad?!

  • Yeah I know, it doesn't taste like salad at all.

  • It tastes like Ritz.

  • Hmm, those are good.

  • Little bit salty.

  • Next we'll try O'Zack!

  • Which are my favorite chips!

  • These are seaweed flavor.

  • Okay.

  • Seaweed and salt.

  • It smells very strongly.

  • It smells like oily?

  • They're light.

  • Sorry, they're really crispy!

  • Mm!

  • I can tell what you're talking about, like there's not a strong flavor at all.

  • It's like Pringles? The crunchy is like Pringles.

  • More like light and fluffy Pringles.

  • Pringles if you blew a lot of air into them.

  • Mm, those are good.

  • I can't taste the seaweed.

  • I know, I know. It's hard.

  • Maybe with some sour cream?

  • Oh, that would be nice!

  • I'm totally cheating because this isn't a [salty] snack.

  • It's sweet.

  • I thought it was a salty thing.

  • No, it's Shitori choco.

  • They're chocolate, and they're kind of like...

  • light, crunchy... with chocolate melted into it.

  • It's really good.

  • It's gonna taste weird with shrimp flavor in my mouth.

  • It has a strong flavor.

  • Really?

  • Not THAT strong. Stronger than the shrimp.

  • !! Omg the texture is so amazing!

  • Yeah, these are really good!

  • Omg, it melts in your mouth!

  • Yeah! It's really light.

  • This is so good!

  • I like this brand particularly because they have special...

  • AHH it's so cute!

  • They have a heart. :D

  • I can totally use this for a recipe.

  • I love hearts. I have hearts all over my body.

  • These are your snacks. You can eat these.

  • My favorite's...

  • Hnnng I can't choose!

  • These two!

  • Yeah, these two are really good! My totally favorite ones.

  • Ototo is my favorite right now, too.

  • Thank you so much!

  • Well I'm glad you liked these snacks!

  • Yeah, all of it!

  • Again this is Miranda, you can check out her channel!

  • Miranda Ibañez. Except she calls me like MirANDa.

  • MirANDa.

  • MIR-AAAANDA

  • Yeah, like this.

  • AMERican accent.

  • So, thanks for watching, guys! I'll see you later!

  • Bye!
