So unless you've been living under a rock, you've probably heard of the um Coben 19 virus and it's not this.

I know I touched it when I said that This is just a prop here in front of me.

I promise.

This is not the virus.

Um, Corona virus has been around since the end of December and became very widely known in the middle toe end of January.

And here we are now going into March and not really seeing any significant slowdown in the disruption that it's causing to the industry.

So if you take a look at the timeline where we are right now, what's coming up right now is G D C and G T C, which are the two conferences that kind of showcase some of the most recent game technology GDC game developers conference in the G T C, which is a technology conference usually focusing specifically on graphics technology.

That is where a lot of people right now are anticipating the announcement and or the launch or, in that time frame, the 3000 Siri's.

Whatever the arty ex second generation is gonna be from in video now, I don't personally believe that they were gonna launch anything at GTC, and video has kind of grown to the point to where, instead of piggybacking on events that exists, they kind of like to hold their own press conference right around the same time of something going on.

So, for instance, they may not necessarily announce anything at G t.

C.

But they might have just announced something a couple of days before or a couple days after G.

T.

C.

But in their own press event, kind like they did with games come when it comes to the particular disruption that the colonel virus is currently causing.

Major regions inside China right now are completely shut down.

We've talked and reached out to several vendors in several different genres of PC manufacturing for cases manufacturing for S MDs and components, PC bees.

Nothing regarding CPU technology.

But we know for a fact that AMG and Intel both taken stock market hits and videos taken a huge stock market hit apples taking the massive stock market hit Samsung all the major companies because what's happening is the fear in the region and the shutdown of manufacturing.

It's just causing a massive disruption in terms of the economy, and with that means we're going to see another instance where the market is going to stagnate in terms of availability.

Now, anyone that understands market and supply and demand knows that it's soon as manufacturing stops on something that is considered a high demand product.

You have reduced supply, an increased demand, which kind of go hand in hand.

The demand doesn't change, it supplies goes down.

That's also an artificial increase in demand as well, because you can't meet the supply, can't meet the demand.

So we're probably going to see, unfortunately, a rise in price on products and components that come from China.

But what's manufacturer in China?

Most everything.

So I mean, there's stuff that comes from Hong Kong, the stuff that comes from Taiwan.

But a lot of that stuff.

Components and parts are made in China first and then sent to those other sub manufacturing regions where they then get sent off to assembly plants that stuff around the world.

So it's going to definitely have an impact.

What I started to say a moment ago is that manufactures in such, we've talked to have stated that several of their facilities, if not all of them, are in a pretty much complete shutdown phase when Allah and when a lot of this started, they were in a reduced manufacturing capacity phase where they were trying to operate.

However, several of them now have pretty much had to completely stop manufacturing.

Not only is manufacturing been disrupted, so has shipments and flights and other container ships.

And such coming in and out of the region is one of the ways that trying to stop the spread of this particular epidemic is stopping the transportation of things and goods and people in and out of the affected regions.

So the whole point of this video right now should you wait and buy new stuff later?

Because we're expecting new desktop processors from Intel for mainstream, A lot of people will think a 4000 Siri's CPU is coming from a M.

D.

This year.

I don't think it would be coming in the first half of this year if it was coming at all.

So I don't think that's gonna be a thing.

And video we know for a fact.

New graphics cards are coming.

We know that they're pretty much almost ready for prime time, but because of the disruption right now, this is when those things that goes, we're going to see a potential inflation and costs, which we haven't seen yet.

Prior to making this video, I went on, knew a guy went on Amazon.

I went on several sites, even went on Alibaba, which is a marketplace not actually a A cellar where they stock items.

Well, I guess some things they do, But I digress.

The price is all look fairly normal Right now.

Bungle deals were still available.

Items are still in.

Stock prices are not inflated.

But that's not going to necessarily be the case.

Unlike gasoline prices, where current events and world economics and conflicts that happened in the world can instantaneously instantaneously increase the price of something that's already been manufactured and shipped and received commodities like this time to take a little bit of time where there's a bit of a delay.

So we haven't seen that happen yet.

Some initial advice right now is gonna be if you need something now.

I mean, I'm not saying like I have a fast computer, I've got 8700 K.

I've got a 10 80 ti I I got 16 gigs of memory.

I'm thinking about upgrading.

That's not a need to upgrade.

That's what I want to upgrade.

You could potentially wait and not be that impacted.

But on the flip side, if you've got some of your components and you're like, OK, I need a computer before summer, I'm going to college.

I want a computer, whatever.

Now might be the time to do it and then just eat the fact that you're not gonna be on the latest potential generation because the new stuff is having a problem being manufactured and the old stuff, as we know, as in videos like getting ready to launch new graphics cards and when new processors and stuff go into tooling there don't make the old stuff anymore.

So we're in this kind of an interim phase where we're in between new supply and old supply.

World supply is probably really ramp down, manufacturing to a bare minimum for things like our cases or refurbishing that kind of stuff's probably still happening.

But all that tooling is being Reese reconfigured for the new stuff coming out, and I have a feeling that that's happening currently within video.

It's currently happy happening with Intel, which means when the supply of what's currently been made up to the point of manufacturing.

And I'm not saying for a fact that those particular brands of halted manufacturer and I'm not.

So don't quote me is that what I'm saying is, in a general sense of that, manufacturing has stopped because of Corona virus earlier than anticipated in terms of the road map.

Then you're gonna see a gap of supply, not meeting demand.

And that's when the prices are gonna go up.

When's that gonna be?

Could happen tomorrow.

We could start seeing a steady, steady, several percent increase in prices over a day from now a week from now.

A month from now, we don't know.

But what I can tell you right now is that there is undeniable proof that the region has completely halted in terms of manufacturing.

Now, if you're the kind of person that's like I said, I just said I need something now, but I was planning on waiting until my tax return.

Beg, borrow or steal.

You're like that since talk about tell you bring up the website.

That, too that they got is gone.

But if you're waiting for G d.

C or D T C for the availability of new graphics and such, I don't big knave is another one we're all kind of waiting for.

And I think we might see something.

But I wouldn't hold your breath.

And even if you could, um, we already know that MD has issues with launch times.

Anyway, with they show something and then getting your hands on it's very, very difficult.

Once they claim availability because of we already explained another video how they're manufacturing ghost or third party and then because they're not their own manufacturer, they have to wait in line with all the other people that there resource is air being used by the third party.

I like Intel in video where their own manufacturers they can come out with such stuff, but much much quicker.

In fact, fell even made a great point regarding the Oculus quest.

I wanted one.

He comes in here and he talks about how cool the quest is and syquest shill over there.

Um, I have an Oculus rift s which I love, but that obviously only uses computers.

And I have a much smaller space now home that I can't do.

Open world.

We are nearly as easy or room scale wherever they call it.

Um, but he said the Oculus quest was awesome and you could still hooked it up to a computer via link cable.

And it works just like my ripped s mostly.

So I wanted to order one, and they were back ordered all through December in the beginning of January.

And then I finally got I ordered it.

Just tow, Wait the two weeks or whatever it said it was gonna take to get from Amazon.

It came in and then went out of stock again immediately and feel just looked up right now stock on that, there's only like two left of 1 28 or 64 whatever in, like, eight left of another in all of Amazon inventory and again.

That story got me directly related because new inventory is not getting replenished.

So, Jay, this seems like a really interesting, like, interesting video and all, But why are you turned on your camera Just to say by your stuff now?
