This solo is going to be hosting the unspoken podcast with Bruce, Lindsey and Miles, and it's gonna be really cool to be able. Thio, hear them talk with the CEO Seo. I believe off this alone like a Q and A as well. I don't necessarily have any, like questions up my sleeve or anything, but it's gonna be fun to be a part of it. And to kind of go to the showroom and nestle Oh, where it's gonna be held. So yeah, I'm just putting on the last bits of my makeup. This Lancome wants your big, by the way, is so much fun. It feels like false lashes. Like, anytime I want glam eyelashes, this when I use and I don't know about you. But when it comes to mascara, I always cope the top part of my lashes first, and then I pull him through like this, and then I don't put any underneath my eye, either. I just had a lot of like smudging and stuff that has happened in the past, and now I'm up to my like primer game so it shouldn't happen. But I just appreciate the look of when mascara is only on the top lashes, So yeah, no, I've gotta put on my outfit. Make sure that it's press and warm enough and yeah, I want to just make sure I love it before I walk out the door way across the sea waves. I wasn't interested in starting. She was gonna start a brand. It was gonna be We're gonna do well, of course. From the start of everything, right in the perfect way, you want it. That's a journey, right? But we hold ourselves to just incredibly high standards of integrity as it relates to people in the way we go through our supply chain. Your people may or may not know this podcaster here, but in the fashion industry is you just completely broken right now with people was watching fashion. 2% receiving wage, which is enough to cover their basic 2% is in. This changes a living wage to cover their basic expenses. You have no idea. So for us, it was how can you create a business people in a big way? It's about not just sustainability, and it's not about the sustainability is also happening. Help, help! What is that? It's not just where you provide 100% letting majors and people experience 120% income increase, which is true. Doesn't big things really important? But it was even more important is an actual lazy training, classics and mental health bosses and getting a whole family involved in family conflict, setting goals and dreams, that much steeper work with everyone. And then the other side of it is really also about a planet in recognizing that sustainable. It's not way we operate as a company. We want to be way. Want to make sure that our carbon footprint we actually have cover weak hearted car footprint and and even offer more back to ensure that with every hair, every she's every grade sheet that way, protect a tree with names on rain forest and actually doing all setting our carbons for multiple shoot productions for every period makes. We're trying to make up some other work hoping to double down. It's really about people, and the planet is a high pulling yourself, getting back your question high standard integrity, great highs, and it's really easy to get lost on the work you're doing in the sight of kind of what you're really after. I have to constantly go back to the heart of things, for sure myself. Just thank you so much for taking a risk. Being old and being vulnerable with people and scary to ask people to be vulnerable sometimes is just a moment for yourself. So it takes a lot of bravery officially, Theo. So today is Wednesday. It's the day after the Nestle event, and I just wanted to kind of recap. All that happened, I was able to be a part of the live taping off the unspoken podcast. Ruthie Lindsay was there with Miles Adcox, and they interviewed Patrick, who is the seal of Nestle. Oh, and just talking to him about what it takes to found a company that's like unethical fashion company and the benefits of it in the long run of just having a company that is, in essence, a fair trade company. And then it went on another realm with a lot of the pains that he's gone through with friends and family that just naturally, people can relate. Thio I will leave link down the description where you guys can find the unspoken podcast. I don't know when that episode will release, but whenever it does release, like if you're already subscribed to it and it'll pop up. I got to meet Patrick afterward as well as his wife, Sally. So they're just such a power couple. Like, not only does he run the solo, but then she also is the creative director over at Patty Wax, which you guys know I love their candles. Of course, it was awesome to see in a solo in their showroom and meet everybody that works there. They're very like Tighten it and you're just absolutely so kind and welcoming, especially because I'm the new kid in town, like it felt so nice to see people who, you know, we could have already talked through e mails and staff, sir. To meet in real life was just so much fun. And then I also wanted to show you guys this little clothes rack that we got, um, it was really just a Nike, a purchase, which I usually go with, like antiques and stuff. But I loved that this was a very minimal design, and it lets me showcase a few pieces that I just naturally want toe wear and kind of have out. So I've got my purse there, a few shoes. There's one more little box of shoes right there that are new. And then just some pieces that I have upcoming to theirs. A little sneak peek in there if you can see it. I liked having it just in this corner. Another person. Boxing. I'm definitely working on the amount of persons that I have very few. And so I was gifted a few recently. So this one is from a Loy, and they let me pick out which one I want. So I happen to know what's in here. Okay, so this is the helix bag. You can see why. Because when you spin it, it's got this beautiful pattern on it. It comes in different colors, but I really liked the black patent leather, like just having that shined, too. It really accentuates the design of the bag and then inside. Okay, so I love that too little hinge. So he's got a draw String inside with more of a really want to say, like a suede. Okay, so it comes with little strap. I also think this is gonna be a good sized bag, too, because I'll be able to store all my stuff in it, and it doesn't look like it's gonna overwhelm a small free Meritus. Okay, there's one more thing I wanted to show you guys today, which I'm extremely happy about, Which is this little set of cups and plates. Of course. I would have to hand wash the use, which I'm kind of wanting to hand wash stuff more anyways, So they have this little gold trim on, um and we really wanted something with gold trim on it because it has just a very unique look to it. Also, like this is a very been material. Like, I want my tea and my coffee to actually have something that's thin. If that makes sense, just makes a big difference. And then was also full about these is that there's two tones to it. So it's got the white, but then it's also this cream color. And at first I was like, Do I really want that? And then I was like, Yes, I also think that's cool, because in our kitchen. We've kind of got that two tone in our kitchen too. So I just really works because they're meeting my friend for coffee. Saturday mornings are starting to become like a thing where I I kind of like, block out times you meet friends and, like, catch up and stuff. And so there's lots of new coffee shops around here that I've never been to. So trying out anyone today, I'm going to brief the parlor. Uh, the one that's close estimators a few. Yeah. It's just gonna be really fun to meet a new friend. Really? I mean, we've talked back and forth forever through, like, instagram g m's and all that salt. Thank you guys down below to hope stuff on instagram and probably grab some coffee and branch and all that. It sure is. Baby. You're looking for a baby. I don't have it. Well, it didn't make any sense. Thing is not a drill. There is a rabbit in my backyard. So beautiful tail. Uh, do you leave? I think he's going. I'm on a mission to see if the rabbits really gone. Yep. You were right through your little hole right there. This was a really lovely Sunday. I got my paper, got breakfast, went to church, went to go to Kroger through the rain. I always seem to go grocery shopping when it's pouring rain outside. Uh, then we just took a nap, and I taped some videos after that. And so yeah, um, now, I just put together some dinner. I am actually quite proud of our dinner. I want to show you guys one thing that Zach and I love to eat is salmon. And if you're not quite like industry, even if you don't like the taste of it, I would definitely recommend using some savory spices. So I used a mix of like, peppery grudge, chili powder, garlic powder and oregano. And then I use the garlic powder on these petite golden potatoes, too. And I just, you know, through some greens in there for fine And then also, uh, I got my wine. I'm really happy about that. And I think that that will be good pairing with the salmon, too. And then, of course, I have my candlesticks. I have loved running candlesticks even more so in this house than in my apartment. Just has this magical essence. I wanted to show you guys the chairs that we ended up getting for the desk. I'm so happy with him because there's mirror image ones like there's one on each side which just kind of compliments the way that it's a partner desk. I didn't want, like, ones that were mismatching or anything, even if they were vintage. So these ones are from world market, and I liked that. They are armed chairs with the arms aren't very high or anything. And then the wicker is really comfortable, too. And it also helps me, like, set up right and scoot into, which was important. So, yeah, we also wanted something that had not plastic on the bottom. So that's really nice to cause that's all, like metal and stuff I have stepped me to already. So that's good. Yeah, you So Hi, guys. It's Wednesday night, and I had a pretty productive day. It was, you know, just a lot of like chilling around the house, working from home, and I got to do a little bit of reading, which is awesome. I'm reading it that one of the older books that I showed you guys before It's, um, Jule, a chapter in her life and actually found quite a few of these online, too. So I can link you guys like eBay or something where you can find a lot of there. But the rest of the night, I was kind of one of, like, clean my house and like everything in order so that tomorrow I'm just fresh again, you know? Also my sweet friend and who runs Penelope vintage. She always includes these long letters to me. I just are so nice. I just like, this is exactly why I chose to like Post Stuff online is so that I would have friends like this from all over the world. So she's out in France and just living the dream life of running her own business. And oh, man, she's amazing. The pieces that she finds are awesome. I would like you guys down the description for your shop. Yeah, definitely shot. Morning, guys. I have a few things to do this morning. I need to run some errands with Zach. Need Thio. Kind of like wrap up some things that I have to do. Like when you first move someplace like inspections for cars, and I've got to get a new appeal box too. So I've got to do that before my next closet seal. So that's, like, my next agenda. Um, And then I just got it, like a work day and stuff, too, So yeah, nothing too thrilling. But day in life, Theo, this'll start to my weekend. I just did some planning for how I'm gonna get everything done. And I think that this weekend is gonna be just so crazy and bananas that I'm just going to end the log right here and pick up with you guys next week, so I'll see you guys with you.
