When we use the present simple tense, we normally use it to talk about facts or to talk about habits or routines.

答えは、「彼は（過去に）私の言った事を分かってくれただろうか？」という意味になります。

because I changed 'get' to 'got'.

それは「get」を「got」に変えたからですね。

So this is a really really good phrase to use to ask someone do they understand you.
