hi guys welcome back to my channel if you are new hello hello if you are
-
returning thank you love you forever yes today we are going to talk about 10
-
hacks for beautiful hair in the winter I really wanted to do seasonal haircare
-
because it gets real hard in the winter to maintain good looking hair everything
-
works against us the wardrobe the hats the weather first of all I wanted to say
-
huge thank you to Pantene for collaborating and sponsoring this video
-
now let's move to our first tack this is a very important one all year round but
-
for winter especially and you'll be surprised how many people don't do this
-
we are talking about conditioner you guys there's a big big percentage of
-
people that don't use a conditioner it makes me feel uncomfortable this is the
-
Pantene pro-v the repair and protect conditioner this is my big guns this is
-
what I add to my hair care routine in the winter to make sure that I battle
-
all the factors that are going against me I live in Canada and God knows our
-
winter are so aggressive so making sure that I use a conditioner is especially
-
important my number one enemy in the winter is static and static is caused by
-
lack of moisture because of the factor is outside and inside so outside we're
-
fighting the harsh cold winter weather and inside were fighting with the
-
overheating trying to keep our bodies warm that sucks all the moisture and
-
humidity out of our hair by using my conditioner I'm making sure that I
-
supply my hair with as much moisture that I can it helps make sure that my
-
hair is smooth and the static is a not an issue I have lots of hair so when I
-
take off my hat and that's that comes in there's just so much going on
-
and it actually ruins my mood because I've been working so hard on making this
-
hair look good and then I get to the party I get to my event I take off that
-
freakin hat and tada another trick that I like to do with the conditioner is to
-
actually do a little treatment with the conditioner so the conditioner acts like
-
a hair mask while you shave and do other things let that conditioner sit in wrap
-
your head and just let it all soak with the humidity and the warmth and the
-
shower it would actually do a much better job and really getting it all and
-
that's something I've been doing for years and I absolutely love that little
-
hack and hopefully that's something you can start doing tip number two is using
-
this beautiful soft silk pillowcase this is such an amazing way to make sure that
-
you are not causing any friction on your hair and make sure that we are void
-
breakage and split ends keeping with our silk team here my newest obsession our
-
silks crunches crunches are all the rage right now as it is and that's what I use
-
at night to make sure that I keep my hair away from my face to avoid all the
-
pulling and tugging at it while I move around at night and because it's silk
-
and make sure that it doesn't pull and doesn't do any damage
-
tip number three is for all the dry shampoo lovers out there it's one of my
-
all-time weapons to make myself feel better dry shampoo yay I recommend to
-
actually use dry shampoo the 90 for it will make sure that the dry shampoo
-
soaks into your hair better and take away all the oils that make your hair
-
looks dirty tip number four if you are using any styling product keep the
-
product towards the end of your hair and not so much in the roots that way it
-
won't weigh down your hair and again it will make sure that your sculpt and your
-
roots are clean and you don't have to wash your hair often to avoid breakage
-
and dryness tip number five very important any time any season is to
-
brush your hair starting from the ends upwards that way we making sure that any
-
tangled hair we're slowly and gently brush it out and then we can go up that
-
will make sure that we don't pull on the hair and don't promote any breakage this
-
is something to keep in mind when you brush your hair on dry hair but
-
especially when it's wet because when the hair is wet it's actually more prone
-
to breakage especially in the winter months starting from the bottom and then
-
you're here talking about how to make sure that our hair is healthy shiny
-
beautiful from the inside it's all about the diet you guys for hair specifically
-
we want to focus on having the right amount of proteins in our diet so any
-
fish eggs chicken if you are vegetarian or vegan there are legumes nuts beans
-
protein is a very important building block for the hair the next vitamin that
-
we want to make sure we're getting an alpha is vitamin C vitamin C is an
-
antioxidant that is used by the body to help produce collagen collagen is very
-
important for our hair for our skin or nails great sources of vitamin C you'll
-
find in blueberries in broccoli sweet potato Orange strawberries so make sure
-
to include that in your diet and last but not least our Omega threes this is
-
something that the body cannot produce so we have to make sure that we provided
-
through our diet Omega 3 can be found in salmon sardines
-
some vegetarian sources are avocados some concedes and walnuts
-
nuts are amazing amazing sources of omega-3s and other vitamins that are
-
pretty crucial for beautiful hair and skin keeping with the team of bringing
-
all the beauty from the inside is supplements a lot of people take a lot
-
of unnecessary supplements so I'm going to keep this category focusing on the
-
ones that I truly believe in and love and consume myself so the first
-
supplement is collagen collagen is very important to strengthen hair and its
-
elasticity and improves overall quality I'll use it in my teas I use it in my
-
smoothies the other supplement it's fish oil if you are looking for a vegetarian
-
or vegan option there's also algae oil we again are
-
looking for those Omega they will make sure to supply the body
-
all the right fats to keep this all going strong and also it actually helps
-
with preventing dry and flaky scalp which I know a lot of us deal with in
-
the winter especially tip number eight is don't blow dry on wet hair this is
-
something that I actually unconsciously been doing I let my hair air dry on its
-
own until it's about 50 or 60 percent dry and then a blow dry I was actually
-
doing it because it was too lazy or I started doing something and then I
-
forget to blow-dry but after a little bit of research actually found that it
-
helps quite a bit to make sure that you don't dry your hair too much you are not
-
making it more brittle all of that helps with avoiding an unnecessary breakage if
-
you are at home you have a little extra time let your hair air-dry on its own
-
for as long as you can and then you can go with your blow-dry over it wet hair
-
is more prone to breakage so we want to avoid that tip number nine is to make
-
sure you are not taking really really hot showers and I know that a lot of us
-
do that especially in the winter it's super cold outside you want to make sure
-
that you are warm and fuzzy and feel nice in the shower so we really crank
-
that heat up not only is it gonna promote dry scalp dryness for your hair
-
it will also dry your body so try to find a temperature that is warm enough
-
but not too warm something you can handle and still make it an enjoyable
-
shower and then the last tip is something and that is a very much
-
recommended during winter months and that's using a humidifier I have one in
-
every corner of my house and in the winter we're already dealing with such
-
dry weather such harsh conditions that we want to make sure that we supply our
-
skin and our hair with enough humidity to avoid that dryness and static that
-
is our enemy in the wintertime and then I have a little extra hack so something
-
that I started doing when I'll go out and I'll put a hat on but I want to make
-
sure that my hair is not gonna look like this after I take off the Hat is to
-
actually take parts like the upper parts of my hair and I'll put it in the other
-
directions like this it looks a little crazy but there's there's there's a
-
reason for it all and then I'll put my hat on and then when I take my hat off
-
because it's been kind of pushing on to the opposite side when I'll take those
-
pieces back it looks a little more luscious and has a little more volume
-
now this can get a little tricky if you have really really long hair or if you
-
got your hair styled but this is something that I do and it actually
-
helps the only thing is you might have to go to the bathroom once you take off
-
the hat to just make sure that it doesn't look like mess but this is just
-
like a little something-something for you and this is it you guys I hope you
-
enjoyed this video I hope I provided some tools for you and Hanks that can
-
help you battle this crazy winter that's coming our way
-
thank you guys so much for watching and I will see you next
