Hey guys, welcome to Daikanyama, I'm here with Taylor
-
The first time in like three years that we've filmed a video together
-
We've actually met up a few times since Taylor moved to Hong Kong
-
But we just had dinner or had lunch together
-
and caught up and we never...
-
It was always really quick
-
Yeah, and I never wanted to film a video
-
because we never had much quality time together,
-
but we're having a sleepover tonight
-
We're gonna stop at lush and get some face masks
-
Little good old time
-
for a proper sleepover.
-
And then we're getting our nails done and
-
We're staying at the weirdest Airbnb.
-
I can't wait to show you guys
-
Weirdest place ever
-
And yeah, we're just gonna have a really fun sleepover in Tokyo, so nice
-
I hope you guys enjoy it
-
Let's go into lush and find a fun face mask.
-
I wanna try something new
-
That's my favorite
-
Chocolate Oh Rosie. I like that one
-
What's that one
-
citrus?
-
You've never tried cupcake?
-
No
-
Should we get cupcake then? Yeah. Yeah, let's do that
-
Is it real chocolate?
-
It's good for oh, so it's made with clay from Morocco and
-
It's good at taking like oil and dirt out of your skin.
-
Oh, yay.
-
Look at these cute little fruit bath bombs
-
I've never seen these ones before
-
it's a smell blackberrys
-
Oh, it smells so good.
-
It doesn't smell like blackberry, but it smells good
-
What's that?
-
Oh, that's so pretty.
-
Look at these its like crystal.
-
Is that a real flower in there?
-
I think it is
-
but it probably comes out in your bath the petals
-
Whoa, what?
-
Dude, I haven't been the lush in like a month
-
and they've really stepped up their game.
-
This is so cute
-
And then there's something inside.
-
Oh my god. This is so fun
-
little candies
-
Okay, we're currently in the grocery store
-
because we're gonna try some cooking tonight
-
You guys know that we're really good at cooking
-
if you've been following us for a while
-
We're gonna try making a banana bread in the microwave
-
because we don't have an oven
-
if this works
-
This will be a lifesaver
-
because I don't have an oven in my apartment in Morioka
-
and I really miss banana bread
-
So fingers crossed that it turns out well
-
we're just looking for the needs
-
If it doesn't we're really bad
-
because it's like
-
you mix it, and you microwave it. The easist thing ever
-
let's get those
-
Baking soda baking powder. What else do I need?
-
flour sugar salt
-
milk and a banana
-
Everything is so big here
-
I know
-
Vegetable oil and soy milk
-
I was gonna say yeah grapeseed doesn't have much
-
doesn't give it a strong flavor
-
just bring it the rest home with me. Ok, I think we got everything
-
Hey, we're here in harajuku at the nail salon now,
-
we're trying out a new one
-
It's called tru nail and eyelash those that do eyelash extensions
-
We're just going to get a pedicure today
-
because it's been a really long time
-
and a good thing about gel pedicures
-
is that they last forever.
-
I think I had went on for about four months
-
Taylor said she get one like twice a year
-
it's great. It's such a good investment
-
because toenails grow so slowly
-
So we chose the course where they give you a selection of designs
-
and you choose which one you want
-
for a January
-
These are the designs they have available.
-
Oh, they change every month?
-
Yeah, so you can switch the colors up
-
basically you're just choosing which little like gems and shiny things.
-
You want them to stick to it.
-
Ooh, the marble ones pretty
-
Yeah, that's the one yeah, that's what I was thinking of. It's so pretty.
-
It looks like colorful gems on it
-
Probably pink with red. Yeah, I feel like this
-
That yeah one of those. Yeah
-
I think all this got a beige color
-
Oh look at the gems are so pretty
-
All done
-
they turned out so cute are you happy with your
-
I'm so happy with them
-
They're like cute little detail. I love those they are adorable
-
I miss doing my nails in Japan
-
They're so clean and such a good quality
-
and they are so detail minded
-
Taylor was like it's harder to find good nail salons in Hong Kong
-
is not as much of a choice as we have here in Japan
-
You always stumble on random places and just go in it.
-
They always turned out good
-
Oh, yeah, they've always good everytime
-
But every time I could have done anywhere else,
-
it's hit or miss I feel like
-
oh my god, it's cold
-
So apparently we're gonna get snow tonight
-
I hope
-
it originally said rain and then they changed it to snow
-
which makes sense because it's friggin cold
-
So that could be cool
-
We're getting back to the Airbnb now
-
so I can give you guys a little peek into this really strange Airbnb
-
that Taylor has rented
-
ridiculous
-
Are you ready for this place guys,
-
it looks like a spaceship
-
Or an egg, a grain of rice
-
that's our house right there
-
It's so creepy and it doesn't have any windows
-
What the heck
-
Hello
-
hello hi
-
You can just stick your hand out
-
It was pouring rain
-
Oh, where's our snow they promised us snow
-
It's just cold and rainy
-
I guess that's not cool enough. That's too bad
-
I was excited for that
-
We are like groundhogs, back in our cage
-
It rarely snows in Tokyo
-
back into our spaceship
-
Oh my goodness this ridiculous staircase.
-
You got a glimpse of it earlier but
-
It's like three floors
-
and just crazy spiral staircase all throughout the place
-
It's a pain in the ass.
-
I would hate living here
-
So earlier on today before I started filming
-
me and Taylor made a video for her channel
-
And we did a photo shoot.
-
It was so much fun.
-
I will link her video up top and down the description box
-
So definitely go watch that after you finish watching this,
-
but we're just going through all the photos
-
The studio actually printed out all the photos we took today.
-
Uh-huh. So we're gonna go through them and choose which one we want
-
But... put it up close so they can see
-
this looks like awkward family photo
-
and the school photos
-
My elbows are sticking out so much
-
Look at my elbows
-
It was the first photo we took
-
Turned up being my favorite.
-
It's so cute. I love the props.
-
It was a lot of fun. It was a great group of people
-
We got 50 photos to look through
-
You can go first. Sure
-
This
-
I like this one so that's alright
-
We can pint out ourselves we have the data
-
It was so cool, putting them all over my house
-
Yeah, so the photo shoot we did today was 80s themed
-
It was really cool because all the people that work there.
-
I was like makeup artists or hairstylists or photographers
-
Except they were all like teenagers or in their early 20s in the 80s
-
So they were telling us about what it was like here in Japan in the 80s
-
And it was just so cool to hear about it.
-
It sounded like a lot of fun
-
Basically everybody is partied like crazy
-
and the economy was so good here
-
that their work would like pay for them to take a taxi home every night and
-
Yeah, everything is sounded great.
-
So we're just waiting for our dinner to be delivered.
-
What we ordered? I've forgotten now
-
It's like this Malaysian spicy rice noodles, vegetable
-
Oh rice noodles. Yeah Oh yum
-
it's here
-
So what happened with our order
-
they tried to call and then
-
I didn't hear the phone so then they cancelled it
-
He just gave up and went back
-
With our order
-
So I did it again. So sad
-
I hope this is the best soup ever.
-
I hope it's might work this time
-
Look yummy
-
Looks good
-
I got zero spice because I'm no wimp...
-
Taylor got level three out of five. So it's gonna be super spicy
-
Oh the noodles are so interestingly.
-
They look like radish or something.
-
You guys can't really tell on camera but they're like see through
-
But they are thick
-
the texture is really good.
-
It's very bouncy and chewy.
-
They're kind like mochi
-
That's so yummy
-
Those are Malaysia?
-
I don't think I've ever had a Malaysian food before
-
but the spice thing is really nice.
-
I don't know how to explain really
-
Malaysian is too spicy?
-
Can I try some of yours spicy one?
-
I'm gonna die.
-
Oh, it smells so different
-
What the fuck, how did you eat that?
-
Okay, we're gonna enjoy your dinner
-
we'll see your guys
-
Taylor's gonna die
-
and we'll see you guys afterwards for some Shaylor cooking adventures
-
Did you guys hear the toilet
-
there's literally a toilet in the kitchen
-
like beside the fridge just there in the middle of the kitchen
-
But we found a use for it
-
Flushing our soup leftovers down
-
you wouldn't want to put them down and clog your drain
-
So guess that's why they have a toilet in their kitchen
-
All right. It's time for
-
what you've all been waiting for some quality made
-
Shaylor cooking
-
We are going to attempt to make banana bread
-
in these silicone cupcake molds
-
in the microwave
-
but we got to make it gluten-free
-
Because Taylor doesn't eat gluten.
-
So we're tempting it with race flour.
-
We also don't have a measuring cup
-
So four tablespoon of milk
-
No measuring
-
There's no one measuaring vanilla
-
Doesn't matter
-
This is originally a mugcake recipe
-
Oh it's for one? Probably
-
My man! My man.
-
Look good
-
Okay, is this even safe that is cooking inside.
-
They're not gonna like rotate
-
Yeah, it is gonna rotate
-
Let's keep doing that till it was crust
-
wow they're rising up.
-
I think we filled them too high
-
Oh no
-
Oh it smells so good
-
oh my god look at those
-
They are turning into muffins
-
